Broxted is a village and civil parish in Essex, England. It is located 11 km (7 miles) northeast of Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and is 23 km (15 miles) northwest from the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the district of Uttlesford and in the parliamentary constituency of Saffron Walden. There is a Parish Council.[1] According to the 2001 census it had a population of 526.[citation needed]
