"Low Man's Lyric"
Song

"Low Man's Lyric" is the eleventh song from Metallica's seventh studio album, ReLoad. It is a slow ballad following the likes of Nothing Else Matters and Mama Said. The song seems to be about a homeless heroin addict begging for forgiveness from his estranged family before he dies. It features a Hurdy Gurdy and a Violin on the track, and is one of the few Metallica songs not to feature a guitar solo.

Demo

The song's demo was named "Mine Eyes" and was recorded on October 30, 1995 at Lars Ulrich's home recording studio "The Dungeon".
