I noticed an appeal from 172 to have personal attacks by Silverback at VFU removed by an admin. I'd never interacted with 172 or Silverback. I looked, saw comments on "character" and "morality" which I thought quite inappropriate, and some abusive speculation about 172's RL: "You should know that character matters, and your lack of morality in small matters like this, does not speak well for how you probably behave in the rest of your life where the tempting spoils of immorality and deceit are greater. No wonder you favor authoritarian regimes, you only know how to take what you want, you don't know how to earn it." I deleted such remarks conservatively—this diff shows exactly what I removed—leaving <Personal attacks removed> tags in their place and an explanation on the page.
