Caitlín Rebekah Kiernan (born May 26, 1964 in Skerries, Dublin, Ireland) is the author of numerous science fiction and dark fantasy works, including many comic books and more than sixty short stories. She moved to the United States as a small child. Her novels are The Five of Cups, Silk, Threshold, Low Red Moon, Murder of Angels, and The Dry Salvages. Her short-story collections are Tales of Pain and Wonder, From Weird and Distant Shores, and the forthcoming To Charles Fort, With Love (scheduled for release in late September 2005).

She is currently writing Daughter of Hounds. As of 2002, she lives near Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
