Afro Samurai Resurrection
Afro Samurai Resurrection is a movie sequel to 2007s Afro Samurai, the movie is about two hours long, it is planed to be released on Spike TV January 25, 2009.
The plot for Afro Samurai Resurrection has Afro lose the number one headband to Sio, a woman from Afros childhood, and forces him to find and reclaim the number two headband once more. Sio, the new number one, plans to resurrect Afros' deceased father. Ninja-Ninja returns to follow Afro on his new journey, Kuma also returns.
American actor Samuel L. Jackson returns as the voice for Afro and Ninja-Ninja, while this time he is joined by Lucy Liu who will voice Afros' enemy Sio, Mark Hamill also joins as the voice of Sios protector Bin.
There are three DVD versions of Resurrection, An edited Spike TV version, An urated/uncut Directors cut, and a Blu-ray version. All three are set to release February 3, 2009.
The RZA will be doing the music once again, the soundtrack is set to realease January 27,2009, two days after the movie airs. Spike TV will Show Resurrection as a whole movie like it is intended, after the movie airs, Spike will then show it again in four half-hour episodes.
