Alfred Ryder

Alfred Ryder (January 5, 1916 - April 16, 1995) was a radio, television and film actor. Ryder may best be remembered for appearing in over one hundered television shows, including the role of Professor Carter in the first Star Trek episode "The Man Trap" in 1966. Ryder began acting at the age of 8 and later went on to study with the likes of Robert Lewis and Lee Strasberg as a young adult.

He was married to actress Kim Stanley from 1958 until 1964, by whom he had a child.
