The University of Massachusetts Medical School, also known as UMass Medical School, is one of the five campuses of the University of Massachusetts system and specializes in medicine. The campus is located near Route 9 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The state medical school is very competitive for admission due to its low tuition rate and excellent reputation. It promotes primary care fields to its students though the curriculum and by offering a tuition waiver for physicians that enter a primary care field. It has been rated as a top medical school for primary care physicians. There are approximately 100 in-state students enrolled yearly.
