John Resig is a JavaScript Evangelist for the Mozilla Corporation and the creator and lead developer of the jQuery JavaScript library. This library's goal is to simplify the process of writing JavaScript code that is compatible with all web browsers.
Resig is also the author of the Pro JavaScript Techniques and the forthcoming Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja.
Resig employs a veritable cornucopia of rapid hand gestures while he speaks. It is thought that through these hand gestures, Resig is able to channel the vast, untapped energies of the universe which he uses to develop jQuery.
He is also author of a widely read blog, ejohn.org/blog, which has more than 13,000 subscribers.[1]
