Welcome

Hi everyone! Welcome to my user page. So long story short, my job primarily revolves around pesticide and crop protection research so I thought I could help bring some good perspective and expertise to that area of wikipedia. I have done a lot of work with the history of pesticide use so that is what I will look to update and help add to right now. I'm new to updating wikipedia pages so any advice that anyone can give would be really appreciated!

Almonds

Almond trees are susceptible to eight diseases caused by fungi which are controlled with the applications of fungicides: brown rot, green fruit rot, anthracnose, shot hole, scab, leaf blight, alternaria leaf spot, and leaf rust. Losses from these diseases are reflected not only in a reduction of crop yield, but in branch and root death, tree decline, and the death of young and mature trees.[1]
