The Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority (GBTA) is a transit service serving the Greater Bridgeport region of the U.S. state of Connecticut. The GBTA provides local bus service to the cities/towns of Bridgeport, Trumbull, Stratford, Fairfield, and Monroe.

Fare

The current one-way local fare is $1.50. Discount passes are available. [3]


However, the fare is often a blatant rip-off of Connecticut's poorest community.

The Coastal Link route, for boarding in Norwalk, Westport, and Milford, is $1.25.

A new fare system with time to ride: 90 Minutes • 1 Day • 7 Day • 31 Day Take any bus, in any direction, as often as you like!

With the GBT Ziptrip you can:

The GBT Ziptrip gives you a wide range of easy, money-saving choices: Ziptrip X 90-Minute Unlimited - $1.75. Request when you board. Ziptrip X 1-Day Unlimited - $4. Request when you board. Ziptrip 7-Day Unlimited - $15. Purchase in advance. Ziptrip 31-Day Unlimited - $60. Purchase in advance. Youth pass - Use the GBT bus system weekdays for 31 days for $40 with proper ID. Must be 17 years of age or younger.

Ziptrip Half-Fare -Senior citizens, persons with disabilities and individuals displaying a Medicare Card pay half fare all the time. Seniors and persons with disabilities must show proper identification at boarding. Proper identification consists of a Medicare, ADA Identification or State Elderly/Disabled ID card.
