Notability of Branislav Stanic

A tag has been placed on Branislav Stanic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Disregard the above notice. Per Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Athletes, your guy appears to be notable enough to justify an encyclopedia article. One quick question about File:BranislavStanic.jpg: are you really the copyright holder? I ask because it looks like a club publicity still, for which the club might hold copyright. I see that you have uploaded the image to Wikimedia Commons, claiming copyright there. If you are not the copyright owner and don't have another usable image around, per the guidelines of WP:NFCC, the article should just go without a picture until a free, alternative pic is found or created. --Dynaflow babble 13:43, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
