Rick Hansen Secondary School is a high school located in the eastern edge of Streetsville, a community in Mississauga, Ontario. The school opened in 1999 and is named after Canadian athlete and spinal cord research advocate Rick Hansen. It is home to more than 2000 students and has a good variety of clubs and teams to join. The school is also reported to have a high literacy average among its other peer schools. The school is large in size.
Arts
Rick Hansen is home to many different styles of art. This includes media arts, visual arts, music, drama and dance. Each style contains many different courses.
Achievements
Rick Hansen have scored high in the Canadian National Mathematics League in the past.[citation needed]
Athletics
Rick Hansen have been known to have a strong volleyball team in the past years winning many ROPSSAA championships. Also known for a good Table Tennis Team.
