Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (born July 8, 1998) is an American child actor and dancer. He is the son of actress/singer Jada Pinkett Smith and actor/rapper Will Smith and brother of actors Trey Smith and Willow Smith.

Career

He made his film debut with The Pursuit of Happyness as the son of his father's character. At the 79th Academy Awards, Jaden presented the awards for the Best Animated Short and the Best Live Action Short with acting nominee Abigail Breslin. Smith won the award for the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Jaden Smith can be seen in Alicia Keys' current single video for 'Superwoman' along with his mother.

In 2008 it was announced that Smith would play the upcoming Karate Kid film, along with Jackie Chan as his mentor. [1] His father Will Smith is expected to produce the film, [2] and his mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, will also appear in the film.
