Kenneth P. Ruscio

Kenneth P. Ruscio is the current President of Washington and Lee University. He was elected to the Office of the 26th President of the University on March 7, 2008 after serving as the Dean of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond for four years.

Prior to his position at Richmond, Dr. Ruscio served on the faculty of Washington and Lee as the Dean of Freshmen, Associate Dean of the Williams School of Commerce, and as a politics professor.

Dr. Ruscio attended the prestigious Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and graduated in 1972. He went on to earn his B.A. in politics from Washington and Lee in 1976, and continued to Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs to obtain his M.P.A. and Ph.D. in 1978 and 1983, respectively.[1]
