Silverdale Comprehensive School; Sheffield, England.

Silverdale Comprehensive School is located in Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It serves approximately one-thousand two-hundred pupils from the local area, from ages eleven to eighteen. It has a good reputation in the area for getting very good results in national, external examinations, but has been criticised in the past for not being so good at the pastoral side of schooling.

Recent developments

The school has recently recieved a grant to rebuild the exisiting school building. This is because the current one is in poor condition and money has to be poured in to keep it useable. The project is expected to get underway in 2006. The new building will be constructed on the school field and then pupils will move to it; whereupon the old building will be demolished.
