Please outline your reasons for asserting that he is non-notable and that he fails WP:POLITICIAN. He made national news (the magazines Reason and Vanity Fair, an interview with the television and radio host Glenn Beck, and mentions in a few blog posts by the journalist Radley Balko, was endorsed by Ron Paul and received donations from a nationwide base as a result of that), as well as having a campaign that was widely covered by the press in the Triangle area of North Carolina. An unknown congressional candidate garnering such national attention is rare.--Gloriamarie (talk) 03:14, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Neurosurgeon?
Nothing against BJ, but in reference to the following statement,
"He moved to North Carolina in 1992,[2] where he graduated from Duke University with a degree in biomedical and electrical engineering and from Duke Medical School as a neurosurgeon.[2]"
I'm not convinced it should read "neurosurgeon." It should probably read physician. Although BJ started a neurosurgery residency, he never completed it. As a result, he wouldn't be a board certified neurosurgeon, as I understand it.
