Barely Legal is an upcoming comedy TV series rumored to premiere on NBC. This show is based on the true life of an 18 year old named Kathleen Holtz, who is rumored to be played by Hilary Duff. Despite several media outlets reporting that she would be doing the show, she stated in a recent interview that it was "only an option," and that she was looking at three other options for NBC shows.[1]

Duff confirmed during a radio interview on January 14 that this show is a possible project for her. Hilary signed a deal with NBC where she would help create and choose a show that she would star in. Currently there are about four options available for her to choose from, and this show is one of the options. [2]

On January 22nd, Hilary Duff's sister Haylie Duff is rumored to have landed a role in the show, as "the big sister who visits from time to time."[2]
