Vermilion Bay is a community in the Canadian province of Ontario, located in Machin township in the Kenora District.

The community is located on and south of Highway 17 between Highway 647 and Highway 105.

Fishing is a popular activity for visitors to Vermilion Bay. Fishing locations in the area include Eagle Lake, the Indian Lake Chain, Clay Lake, Canyon Lake, Cedar Lake and Perrault Lake.[1]


The community has one licensed radio station CKQV-FM, and is home to the one and only Blue Thunder (a high performance 1993 Ford F-150 variant).
