Re:Signature
Hey Falastur, sorry for the delay, haven't had a chance to check my talk for the last few days. When changing your sig, make sure you tick the small box under the signature box. Hope this helps, because I've just checked the sig and it seems to work, the code looks fine too ;) BanRay 17:03, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi mate. Yeah, that seems like a good idea, and I have replied as such. I'm actually surprised that the individual articles didn't already exist. Will be a tough ask doing individual division articles for every prior season, but it's probably worth it in the long run. – PeeJay 23:13, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- like i said on the article it would be a good idea and we could posible get a team together and then maybe split it into 3 and each team focus on 1 divison in the prior seasons. I would be happy to help. MotorSportMCMXC (talk) 23:27, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for that comment. Yeah, I was 99% sure he was a vandal, but I didn't want to block immediately - there are all sorts of politically charged "admin stole my right to free speech" type vandals out there, so unless it is going at 100 edits a minute I prefer to warn first! Regards -- Chuq (talk) 13:00, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, no problem. Yeah, in that situation it is clearly that the notice was not put up with good intentions, so removing it is just mopping up the mess left behind - no problem in doing that :) -- Chuq (talk) 13:06, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Championship map
When I made the Premier League map I tried too do the Championship too, the result can be found here, though it isn't made in the same way as the current Premier League map when the dots and labels are separate. In that sandbox I've taken the locations of the ground the team plays on. I can try to work it out too look like the PL map in some hours — chandler — 17:05, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Your results table template
- Unfortunately, the template is not smart enough to automatically decide the background color. We have to inform to
Fb r team
template when the background should be colored, using the parameter bg. I've already fixed the Southern Football League 2008-09 as example. --ClaudioMB (talk) 20:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
MCFC statistics
I was thinking of getting into a state where it is suitable for featured list nomination. As there are a number of other similar articles which are already featured lists, it shouldn't be too difficult as we can use them as a base. The equivalent list for United recently became a featured list, which served as a motivator for me because now there are more FA/FLs about United than City, and we can't have that, can we? Mostly, getting the article ready for a nomination will involve making sure all the records are referenced, and making sure the article follows the manual of style throughout.
Featured nominations have a bear-pit reputation, but in reality they aren't as intimidating as people sometimes make out. Once you get used to the terminology the sense of intimidation melts away. Featured lists tend to be more straightforward than featured articles too. An irreverent account of the featured article process which is well worth reading is User:Giano/A fool's guide to writing a featured article. Oldelpaso (talk) 09:26, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

RE: UEFA Cup & Champs League updates
Thanks, mate, still new to it, but figured since I watch the scores from work (I'm in the US), might as well keep myself engaged. Appreciate the help, didn't realize there were so many people trying to update it. That said, I'll do my best in helping and not goofing up the formats. I think I've got past that sort of business. Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Edit to FA Cup 2008-09 qualifying rounds
There is no difference between the two, and I apologise that it seemed like my edit to that article made it look like I was primarily changing the
s to
s. In actual fact, I was adding the Second Round Qualifying draw at the same time as you were (albeit a bit slower) and when I submitted the edit, there was an edit conflict. Since I had copied the team names directly from the First Round Qualifying results table, I decided to save the version that I had done in order to preserve consistency between the rounds. Hope that's OK. – PeeJay 12:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Football League 2008-09
Could you update the current results table. 03md (talk) 10:21, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Cheers. Do you and PeeJay need any help with your Football League project? I'm happy to help. 03md (talk) 12:04, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I will make a start on creating the articles for all the years of the "Football League" format (2004-05 onwards) and see how I go. What needs to be left on the main page for each season? 03md (talk) 16:19, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Could you have a look at this article and see what you think. 03md (talk) 19:49, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I have made the infobox but need some help with the teams map. 03md (talk) 09:56, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Have you created any more football league pages or those maps? 03md (talk) 21:50, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Good work with the results for Football League Championship 2007-08. How are the other leagues coming along? I held off until I saw how you were getting on. 03md (talk) 21:47, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Issue with Peanut4
{{help me}}
Yes, you are right. I am new to wikipedia. I only joined when the fourth round of matches was played. I wanted to talk to him privately but I dont know how to. I was not just referring to the 2 things mentioned. He edited a lot of my stuff since the fourth round and removed most of what I wrote about the 6th Round Draw. Is there any way on Wikipedia where I can message him privately? I was finding it but I cannot find it, so I had to use the history. Syjytg (talk) 14:59, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Please only use {{helpme}} on your own talkpage. Thanks. //roux 15:03, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comment, Roux, but I think I can handle this one... Falastur2 Talk 15:16, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
