Stockport County Football Club

Stockport County Football Club was founded in 1883 and was originally known as Heaton Norris Rovers.
However, since the late Nineteenth Century they have been known as Stockport County and have, since 1903, played at Edgeley Park where they regularly attract crowds of over 5,000. The club colours of Stockport County are blue and white.
Stockport County currently play in the 2nd Division of the English Football League. The are known nationwide as the "Friendly Football Club".
The club nickname is 'The Hatters'. This is due to Stockport's history as a centre of the hatting industry.
