"Sure, there were nasty edit-wars in 2004, but I do not remember that routine level of nastiness, and sometimes just raw hate that one sees on the noticeboards now. Civility and kindness and good faith seem to be in a bear market, with no obvious way to make it rebound. We've changed from a village into a city: where once you could pass by another editor with a friendly wave and smile, now those rushing by think such behavior indicates you want something from them ("I don't want any of your hot air and chat pages, go away" another editor once said to me). Cities have their advantages over villages, but the style of discourse is quite different, and I think the routine unfriendliness on Wikipedia now drives away many promising newcomers." — Antandrus
This is my userpage. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I am a rollbacker, member of the account creation team, WikiGnome, and occasional writer. I mostly spend my time doing small edits (like typo fixing, vandal fighting, and performing general fixes), making vector graphics for use in articles (my list of synthesized SVGs is here), and optimising PNGs. I also regular at the help desk and new contributor's help pages, and monitor who is using the {{helpme}} template. I occasionally venture into article writing, but my literary proficiency is certainly not as good as my more maintenance related work. I enjoy mindlessly repetitive tasks, debates, politics and discussions about morality and ethics.
I will not be offended if you notify me of a mistake I have made, however small or large (or wish to praise my work, for that matter). If you believe I have made a mistake, leave a message on my talk page, and if applicable I will add it to my mistakes page for transparency and for quick reference.
