Dromara Village F.C.
Dromara Village F.C. is a Northern Irish football club playing in [Premier Division] of the Northern Amateur Football League having won promotion to the top tier of amateur football in Northern Ireland in 2008. Dromara have long boasted one of the best sets of facilities in the amateur league & have endeavoured to emulate this on the pitch as well as off it. With three senior teams playing in the NI Amateur League & the Newcastle & District football league, supported by an impresive youth set-up with teams competiting in the Lisburn invitational league & Ballynahinch league this small rural village can take great pride in it's local side.
One of the big highlights in the clubs history was the Steel & Sons cup final in 1996 when the Villagers were narrowly defeated in a cup final replay, having drawn the first tie against Ballymena United Reserves. [1]
