Admirals refer to a definitive series of stamps issued under three British Commonwealths. They are Canada 1911-28 (Scott 104-134), New Zealand 1926 (Scott 182-184), and Rhodesia 1913-24 (Scott 119-138). These stamps are known as Admirals as they bear the image of King George V of Great Britian in naval uniform, and collectively spanned two decades during the reign of King George V.

Canada 1911-28 Issues

The lure to either historical study and/or collection of Canada's Admirals comes by way of the number of variations of this single definitive stamp. Variations exist in monetary rate, color, die cuts and the printing process.

Rhodesia 1913-24 Issues

The Admiral Issues of Rhodesia contain a number of variations both in die cut and color shade variations. Because of this and other factors correct identification can be difficult for a new Stamp Collector or Philatelist. Many reliable books on the subject are out of print and difficult to obtain.

New Zealand 1926 Issues

The Admiral Stamp was only issued in 1926 for New Zealand and contains only three definitive stamp designs. Combined with the Canada and Rhodesia Admirals makes for both a more comprehensive topical and or historical study group of stamps.
