The following is the list of verified oldest women, arranged in descending order, based on each woman's age in years and days. A "year" typically refers to a calendar year, the time between two dates with the same name. However, years may be of different lengths due to the presence or absence of a leap day within the year, or to the conversion of dates from one calendar to another. A supercentenarian is considered "verified" if her claim has been accepted by an international body that specifically engages in longevity research, such as the Gerontology Research Group or the Guinness Book of World Records.

As of January 11, this list contains six living supercentenarians, the oldest of whom is American woman Gertrude Baines (age 130 years, 280 days). This list automatically updates the ages of those still living to reflect the current date (today is January 11, 2025).

This list includes only women and should not be confused with the list of the oldest verified persons, which includes persons of both genders.

  3. ^ Butariu's claim was accepted by Romanian authorities, but supporting documentation for the claim has never been produced for inspection by international gerontology organizations. However, nothing has been published to dispute the claim.
