  • A split-finger fastball, a baseball pitch (throwing technique)
  • Tiago Splitter, Brazilian basketball player
  • A splitter is someone that plans to leave the group/team, and stops contributing to team activities.

Engineering and Mathematics

  • An aerodynamic device used on race cars, under the front bumper, nose, or chin, to prevent air from passing under the car. For example, the splitter is a prominent feature of NASCAR's "Car of Tomorrow". It is similar to a diffuser, but works by accelerating air, as opposed to decelerating it.
  • In geometry, a splitter in a line segment bisecting the perimeter of a triangle and having one endpoint at a vertex.
