José Luis Cuciuffo (1 February 1961 in Córdoba, Argentina – December 11, 2004 in Buenos Aires Province)[1] was a defender in the staring XI of 1986 FIFA World Cup-winning Argentine national team. He was fatally wounded in the stomach while out hunting in the southern Buenos Aires province, near the Bahía San Blas bay. He was centre back who was often found up field using his technique well.
El Cuchu started his professional career at Chaco For Ever, but also played in Argentine Talleres de Córdoba, Vélez Sársfield, Boca Juniors and Belgrano de Córdoba. He also played in the French league with Nîmes Olympique.
