Intersession

I changed an edit about the 4-1-4 schedule. I don't think we can call it "unique" as I'm fairly certain at least one other college uses a similar format. "Unusual" is a better word, I think. Midnightdreary 02:44, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jefferson College

The following is unsourced material:

W~~&J's Old Main is home to the plaster model used to sculpt the head of Jefferson for the Jefferson Memorial.~~ Replaced, with source.

W&J's traditional college cheer is "Whichi Coax!"
Library archives show that W&J's student literary society, named after Benjamin Franklin, included honorary members such as Horace Mann, John Quincy Adams, and Edgar Allan Poe.
The doorknob used in the 1939 film "Gone With The Wind" for the front door of Tara is now a part of the library in Lazear Hall.

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. The Infobox

For the infobox, the official school colors are red and black. According to W&J Graphics Standards Guide - Color Palette, the specific red is "Pantone 1807," which, according to this chart is #A03033 in hex. I expanded the section about the log college years, so if someone wants to work on it, that's good. I plan on working on a section for each historical period (log colleges, the two academies, the pre-union colleges, the post-union colleges), and will probably spin the whole thing off into its own page "History of Washington & Jefferson College."--Jwilkinsen (talk) 06:26, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
