Detail of the inscription

The South African Police Memorial is located in the grounds of the Union Buildings in Pretoria and commemorates officers of the South African Police Service who died in the line of duty. It was unveiled in 1984.

It features plates inscribed with the names of the dead and the amphitheater onto which it faces is the site of an annual service to commemorate those killed during the course of the year.[1] [2]
