Unlike the other games in the series, Small Brawl was directed at a younger audience, but kept a good amount of comic violence intact.

Trivia

  • The secret character Axel was originally meant to have an ending. It was created, but scratched because it was deemed offensive to handicapped people. The ending depicted Calypso giving Axel robotic legs, but controlling them himself and forcing Axel to step on rakes and get struck in the face.
