Jésus de Montréal (1989)   Directed and Written by Denys Arcand and stars Lothaire Bluteau.


The story is set in Montreal. A group of actors turn the story of Jesus into a play. But as the movie progressive the Lothaire Bluteau characters life beggins to resemble the life of Jesus. Despite the films emphasis on the life of Jesus it is the polar opposite of the Passion of Christ by Mel Gibson.
