Safety

When my 4 1/2 year old son was flying a beginner's 0.049 cubic inch (0.8 cc) solid balsa model, I forgot to step back. The spinner in front of the engine hit me in the knee, hurting for a minute or two, but leaving no visible mark.

Mass edits

I made a bunch of edits to expand on the various topics and add detail. I can't immediately figure out how to put in references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brett Buck (talkcontribs) 06:44, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

references, unencyclopedic tone, peacock/weasel terms

Article a disaster... it seems to be an article written for a hobby magazine. Besides a total lack of references, it also has way too much peacock terms and weasel words that seem geared towards justifying the field as a hobby, rather than provide an encyclopedic article on the topic. The lede is clearly in need of a heavy re-write, but the entire article has these issues. For example, the "obviously" stuff in the safety section is nasty, nasty I say. Since I am no expert on the topic there is little I could do, but if I am provided WP:RS I can help. --Cerejota (talk) 13:28, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
