Since the last attempt of writing this article was denied, I rewrote the article and included more information and references. Rubie's Costume Company is the world's largest manufacturer of Halloween costumes and masquerade products and Delicious Sexywear of New York has just acquired the Playboy license to create "sexy" Halloween costumes for adults. All of this information is verifiable through numerous mainstream media sources. I don't understand why this keeps getting deleted. Quackiee (talk) 00:07, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quackiee - as you can imagine, Wikipedia gets many articles that are posted which are advertisements masquerading as factual articles. If it is blatant then we call it spam, if it is subtle then it may just be a non-notable company. This is a problem, because if every person/company/team/band etc did this Wikipedia would fill up with garbage. Simply being acquired does not make a company notable. I see you have added the hangon tag and you are adding more references which is the right thing to do if you think this company is notable. Please see the policy on notability for companies: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) - specifically the first lines:
An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. All content must be verifiable.
Also - Wikipedia does not allow advertising. For more information on this, see:
If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly.
