Sapient (NasdaqSAPE) is an interactive and professional services company based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States with Alan Herrick as the company's current CEO.[1] It has offices in North America, Europe, and India and currently employs more than 6,500 people around the world (23 locations). In October 2008, Sapient Canada, Inc. was named one of "Canada's Top 100 Employers" by Mediacorp Canada Inc., and was featured in Maclean's newsmagazine. Later that month, Sapient Canada was also named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers, which was announced by the Toronto Star newspaper.[2]

Services

Sapient Interactive offers interactive marketing and design services; Web and interactive development; media planning and buying; campaign creation and development for mobile and emerging technologies and strategic planning and marketing analytics. It has creative studios and offices based in Miami, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Boston, Munich, Chicago and Toronto. The interactive practice has grown out of Sapient’s 2006 acquisition of PGI, a Miami-based interactive agency[3]. Today, Sapient is one of the world’s largest independent interactive agencies and was named the Top Interactive Agency in the UK by New Media Age two years running in 2007 and 2008.[4]

Sapient Consulting provides business and IT strategy, process and systems design, package implementation and custom development, as well as outsourcing services such as testing, maintenance and support

The company also has a professional service practice focused on trading and risk management (TRM) providing business and technology consulting, process and operations management, and software development specifically for the trading and risk management industry. The Sapient TRM practice expanded when it acquired the London-based, privately-held Derivatives Consulting Group in August 2008 [5]

Sapient’s global clients include BP, Essent Energie, Hilton International, Janus, Sony Electronics and Verizon.
