Jerry Crasnick(Born May 24th, 1958) is a sports writer, currently covering baseball for the sports website ESPN.com, under their Insider Section. [1] He began his career in 1988 as a beat writer for The Cincinnati Post where he covered Pete Rose and the Cincinnati Reds. He has worked for the Denver Post and Bloomberg News, while also writing for The Sporting News, and Baseball America.[2]

Jerry received his Bachelor's_degreefrom Boston_University in Communications in 1980.
Career
In addition to his website and newspaper work, Jerry is the Author of the book "License to Deal: A season on the run With a Maverick Baseball Agent." [3] The book's main focus is on the story of Matt Sosnick who left his job as a CEO, to become a baseball agent.

Jerry covers baseball for ESPN Insider. In addition to his numerous articles, Jerry often moderates baseball themed chats[4], and is a guest on ESPN podcasts.
Personal
Jerry lives in Langhorne, Pennsylvania with his wife and his two daughters.
