SM City Fairview is a large shopping mall in the Philippines. It is owned and Developed by SM Prime Holdings. It is located at Quirino Highway, Regalado Ave, Novaliches, Quezon City, Metro Manila. It is the second SM Supermall located in Quezon City. It has a land area of 200,000 m², a total gross floor area of approximately 180,000 m² and a total area of 220,000 m², making it the 6th largest shopping mall of SM in the Philippines after SM Mall of Asia, SM City North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM City Cebu and SM Southmall Las Piñas in terms of total area. and the new annex opened last january 2009 and the planned MRT station extension connecting the main mall is located at the 2nd floor. SM City Fairview's key competitior is Robinsons Nova Market (formally Known as Robinsons Place Novaliches) which is just in front of the annex buildings.

History

The mall was opened and developed in October 25, 1997, It is the 3rd SM Supermall opened in Quezon City after SM City North EDSA and SM City Sta. Mesa. During construction, the mall had been reported to house the country's second ice skating rink upon its opening, but this plan was hindered when Philippine President Joseph Estrada took over. The mall has 3 buildings, The main mall features main anechors lik SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, 12 state-of-the-art SM Cinemas, SM Food Court, SM Bowling Alley, SM Appliance Center, Our Home, Sports Central, and SM Storyland. The mall has been expanded with an annex opened in May 14, 2004 which contains the Ace Builders Center (which transferred to the annex), the Event Center (transferred to the new annex due to SM Dept. Store will occupying the space due to its renovation), And the palm strip with 3 restaurant and a stage which some bands perform. And over 100 stores and shops. Another annex opened last January which ACE builders Center, The Event Center transferred. Few shops opened and named. Sbarro, Seen by Executive, George Optical, All Flip Flops, SugarHouse, Timezone, Lay Bare, and Under the Sea.


Physical Details

The mall was opened in October 1997 and was and expanded on 2004 and 2009. The mall consists of the rectangle-shaped building, and a outdoor parking. The mall features anchors like SM Department Store, The SM Supermarket and SM Cinemas. It also features other anchors like National Bookstore, Watsons Drugstore, Surplus Shop, SM Appliance Center, 5 Banks (BDO Chinabank & BPI) and ACE Builders Center.
