Todd Kowalski was born on May 27th, 1973 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. In the early 90's he was the frontman of I Spy, a p.c. punk band originally from Regina, and originally called Clump. He and the band moved to Winnipeg in 1994. The band played together until the summer of 1996, when they decided to call it quits. After that he became part of a band called Swallowing Shit who played together until they were banned from doing shows in 1997 when approximately 300 Christians, offended by their song "Pro-Abortion, Anti-Christ", showed up at a show to protest. This led to the City of Winnipeg enforcing an unused and forgotten law which declares it illegal to question the authority of the church within city limits. In 1998, the G7 Welcoming Committee record label released an I Spy anthology album called "Perversity is Spreading... It's About Time". Today, he is the bassist for the band Propagandhi and has so far released two albums with them called Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes and Potemkin City Limits.
