Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stacy Kernweis
Appearance
Promotional piece for an alleged "actress" who appeared in a single no-budget DVD (available over the internet) for no pay. Most of the article is unverified (her IMDb page seems to have been mostly copied from wikipedia). "Stacy Kernweis" -wikipedia yields google 5 hits, and I can't even tell if they're her. -R. fiend 19:25, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete Not a bad article, but seems to fail this clause from WP:BIO: "Notable actors and television personalities who have appeared in well-known films or television productions." Jasmol 20:16, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- KEEP What fiend fails to mention is that this actress was just married and that she worked previously under the name Stacy Armstrong. He also doesn't say that he had already put the Armstrong article up for deletion. By not making note of either of these facts he shows himself to be what he is a biased person. He pretends that she only gets 5 hits so that people will vote to erase this article. Some administrator! He also tries to make out that the film is a very minor one, not true. Both the film Democrazy and the actress Stacy Armstrong have won awards! Also, an interesting fact he says that IMDB has ripped off Wikipedia when on the undelete section he claims the other that Stacy Armstrong article was a copy violation. This shows you what kind of person fiend is, his name says it all. He has already abused his new found power as an admin at least once! Another interesting fact is that Stacy Armstrong had several more credits listed on IMDB then they suddenly disappeared around the time her article was being deleted. Since regular people can put in to have credits added and deleted I wouldn't be surprised to find that this character had something to do with it. Plank 23:20, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Well if these "major films" she's been in aren't on IMDb or listed other such places, then they're unverifiable. In any case, as long as we're makign accusations, I guess I'll point out that this guy has been part of a major effort to promot his friends in wikiepdia. Case in point here. -R. fiend 23:32, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Okay now that is a lie! I am a dan not a friend. This is what you always do accuse people of being friends and sockpuppets! What is true is that you are part of a major campaign to remove this person! What is your connection to this woman? It is no secret that ichale Legge is out of the Boston area. And aren't you situated around there too? Now I understand this is personal for you isn't it? You are a liar and you better watch what you say. Plank 13:14, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- OK, I have no proof that you are friends with this person. In fact, I have no proof you have friends at all. But I suppose it's entirely possible that you do. Now if by "part of a major campaign to remove this person" you mean "one of a solid consensus" (see votes so far), then I guess that's true. I know nothing of Legge or his friends (ie actors) except what I've read here and briefly other places on the internet. I have no problem with Legge having an article here (it seems, though I suspect his has little talent, he has actually has done just enough to warrant inclusion), it's this campaign to have everyone associated with him appearing on as many Wikipedia pages as will hold them that I am opposed to. Though Borgman^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Dwain and marionettes are the main culprets there. And finally, I haven't lived on Massachusetts in some time. I live in New York. -R. fiend 14:57, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete Fails WP:BIO. Also change her link on the Democrazy (film) article to link directly to IMDB. howcheng [ t • c • w • e ] 23:55, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. I wish this young lady well and I hope she merits later inclusion. So far, not notable enough. Durova 02:20, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, unencyclopedic. Wyss 02:41, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. Fails WP:BIO. "Stacy Kernweis" -wikipedia = 5 Google hits (2 wikimirrors). "Stacy Armstrong" -wikipedia = 589 Google hits, scattered amongst the actress in question, various sportspeople, an ecologist (I think), a few managing directors, and a couple of scientists/scientist's wives. Maybe in the future, but I don't think she makes the cut just yet. Saberwyn 03:02, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- Delete Stacy Armstrong has been deleted in the past. There remains no explanation whatsoever of what an EARP award is. Modern technology means that it is relatively easy to make a film, so merely being in a film does not make one a notable actor any more than getting a science degree makes one a notable scientist. And finally, I have my suspicions that this is an attempt to use Wikipedia to advertise the films rather than Wikipedia reflecting existing note. Average Earthman 18:23, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
