Ryan Benjamin Rowland-Smith (born January 26, 1983 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian starting pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. He pitched for Australia in the 2006 World Baseball Classic and in the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Rowland-Smith made his major league debut for the Mariners on June 22, 2007, against the Cincinnati Reds at Safeco Field. He struck out the first batter he faced, Ken Griffey, Jr., and pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings in a 16-1 Mariners loss. Though primarily used as a relief pitcher, Rowland-Smith made his first start in the majors on July 1, 2008, and shortly after was optioned to Triple-A to become a starting pitcher. He returned to the Mariners and was one of the few bright spots in a horribly disappointing season for Seattle. Rowland-Smith was Seattle's most effective starter in the second half of the season, finishing with a 3.39 ERA and a 4-3 record from his 11 starts. Rowland-Smith started a 2009 spring game against Colorado, coming to the plate twice, and hitting 2 singles. This was his first time batting against a live pitcher since he was 17 years old.

Rowland-Smith is the son of Australian celebrity trainer Rob Rowland-Smith, known as The Sandhill Warrior . He is the first player with a hyphenated last name ever to appear in a major league game.
