The following is a list of characters that appear in The Spectacular Spider-Man TV Series.

Main Characters

These are the characters that are usually centered, and also appearing as one of the five main charcters of an episode in the theme song (not including Eddie Brock, Aunt May, Uncle Ben and Tombstone).

Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Bitten by a genetically altered spider while visiting Dr. Curt Connors' lab at Empire State University, Peter donned a spider themed costume to fight crime after allowing a burglar to escape, who later killed his Uncle Ben.

Peter was awarded an internship for Dr. Connors, a position which he held until being fired by Martha Connors for ditching the antidote plan to take pictures of the Lizard. However, his Lizard pictures caught the eye of J. Jonah Jameson who gave him a job as a Bugle freelancer to take more pictures of Spider-Man in action. He and Harry try out for the football team, but lets Harry join the football team. In the episode "Catalysts" he goes with Mary Jane to the Fall Formal. However, a few days later, Peter sees Mary Jane going out with Flash Thompson as she says they were just friends.

Following John Jameson's return from space, the alien symbiote was taken to Dr. Connors' lab for study. The symbiote then got loose during a fight between Spider-Man and Black Cat, leading to Spider-Man stepping on and bonding with the symbiote. It causes him to be more aggressive towards his enemies and others; it also gives him a strong desire to keep the symbiote, despite what it is doing to him. After a brief talk with Flash Thompson, Peter is able to think clearly once more and decides to get rid of the symbiote, only to find out it is trying everything it can to bond with him. With the spirit of Uncle Ben to guide him through, Peter was able to triumph over the suit and dispose of it. He later returns it Dr. Connors' lab and tries to destroy the suit forever by freezing it. Unfortunately, Eddie came in at the wrong time and misunderstood the situation, causing his hatred for both Peter and Spider-Man to rise up more than ever, giving the symbiote more than enough energy to break free of the ice and bond with him.

After returning to his normal suit, Peter meets a new villain, Venom. Realizing it is the symbiote and from its words, he realizes it is going after his loved ones. Upon hearing it call him "bro", he finds out that it is Eddie who has bonded with the symbiote. After it nearly attacked Aunt May it swore to get the "person he loved most" and kidnapped Gwen (though Peter assumed he was referring to Mary Jane). Peter decides enough is enough and fights Venom, only to realize he is no match for Venom, Peter tricked the symbiote off of Eddie by pretending to accept it back. Inside of his mind, the symbiote attempted to rejoin with him, only to be stopped by images of Peter's friends and family. Afterwards, Peter buries the symbiote in quick dry cement, deeply hoping never to see it again. Also, by the end of the first season, Peter fully and happily accepts his destiny as Spider-Man, and begins to realize his true feelings for Gwen after she kissed him.

In the second season, Peter realizes his feelings for Gwen and on several occasions tries to talk to her, but his duties as Spider-Man continue to interfere. On New Year's, Liz Allen kisses him revealing that she wants to be with him. The two became a couple later on.

In the episode "Final Curtain", Peter finally talked to Gwen and both confessed their feelings to each other, and agreed to end their respective relationships, which caused him to break up with Liz. Later he discovered the Green Goblin is revealed to be Norman Osborn, he took one of his pumpkin bombs and placed it in his glider, which caused it to explode and crashed with Norman in a water tank filled with pumpkin bombs. Feeling responsible for the death of Norman, Peter felt guilty and decided that he shouldn't be with Gwen and allowed her to stay with Harry.

Eddie Brock/Venom

Eddie Brock has had a life-long connection to Peter Parker, with both of their parents having died together in a plane crash. But while Peter had May and Ben Parker to act as his legal guardians, Eddie did not have anyone to take him in. Because of this he has always carried a envious subconscious hatred towards Peter for being able to live an easier life. However, he has repressed this attitude over the years by acting as a friend and mentor to Peter, often calling him "Bro". At Midtown High he was a quarterback for the football team, but defended Peter from harassment despite his inner resentment towards him. When the series begins, Eddie is a freshman at Empire State University, working as a lab assistant under Dr. Curt Connors. There he is joined by Peter and Gwen Stacy, who earn similar positions through their high school science class. As the series progresses, Eddie develops animosity towards Peter due to a series of misunderstandings, often involving photographs Peter had taken while secretly disguised as Spider-Man. This ultimately damages their friendship.

Soon after, Spider-Man merges with an alien symbiote brought to the Connors' lab which had been found attached to a space ship piloted by John Jameson. Eddie is subsequently fired from his job at Empire State University due to a lack of funding after the alien's disappearance. When Spider-Man manages to separate from the symbiote, he returns it to the ESU labs, raising Eddie's hopes of gaining his job back. However, his last hope is shattered when Spider-Man attempts to destroy it. The surviving alien, which feeds off of negative emotions, could sense Eddie's anger and deeply repressed hatred and pain. It subsequently bonded with him, revealing to him Spider-Man's identity as Peter Parker making him the first person in the series to figure out his secret identity. Together, they formed the creature known as "Venom", which refers to itself as "we".

After Venom attempts to stalk and threaten him out of irrational vengeance, Spider-Man tricks the symbiote into leaving Eddie by pretending he wanted to rejoin with it. After successfully deflecting the Symbiote's attempt to regain control, Spider-Man captures it and dumps it in wet cement at a local construction site.

Eddie returns in "First Steps", where he tricks Spider-Man into thinking he bonded with the symbiote again. This was, however, a trick which led to him finding the symbiote's location. In "Growing Pains", Venom unsuccessfully attempts to reveal Spider-Man's identity through the Daily Bugle. After attempting to unmask Spider-Man and sedate him with a gene cleanser, Spider-Man was ultimately able to feed him the cleanser, causing the symbiote to flee Eddie's body, escaping into the sewers. After lamenting that he cannot stop hating Peter since the symbiote "loves him for the hate", Eddie is taken to Ravencroft, presumably for psychiatric rehabilitation.

Here Eddie is based primarily on the version of the character appearing in Ultimate Spider-Man, retaining his childhood friendship with Peter and interest in science, while baring the mainstream version's more muscular build. Venom's black webbing resembles the version seen in Spider-Man 3, and also has the ability to grow a mouth on his lower stomach. When separated from the symbiote, Eddie apparently gained the knowledge to make a synthetic substance to imitate Peter's webbing. Venom, along with Tombstone, is one of the few villains who can physically defeat Spider-man.

Gwen Stacy

Gwen is one of Peter Parker's best friends and an intellectual equal, not to mention harboring a crush on him. Her appearance and personality here is very different than past incarnations and appears to be partially influenced by Debra Whitman's character.

She is the daughter of Police Captain George Stacy and also gained an internship with Dr. Connors at Empire State. She was disappointed in Peter for ditching the cure effort for when Dr. Connors turned into the Lizard, but soon forgave him. In the episode "The Invisible Hand" Peter unintentionally lies to Gwen saying he is not going to the Fall Formal (school dance), but later finds himself courted by Mary Jane. At the formal, Gwen is silently hurt when seeing Peter and Mary Jane together, believing that he lied to her. She later becomes concerned for Harry's health when he starts abusing the performance enhancing formula Globulin Green. She admits her feelings for Peter to Mary Jane in "Intervention". In the following episode, "Nature vs. Nurture", Gwen follows Mary Jane's advice and begins showing a more active interest in him. During the Thanksgiving parade, she is kidnapped by Venom, on the basis that he is going to harm the person Peter loves the most. This, coupled with Gwen later kissing Peter after their Thanksgiving dinner, causes Peter to realize her feelings for him and his possible subsequent feelings for her.

However, Liz Allen's own growing affections for Peter leads him to start going out with her instead, much to Gwen's dismay. Gwen is later kidnapped by Electro and used as a hostage by the Master Planner, who forces her father to do as he says. Gwen is saved by Spider-Man however. She soon finds herself the center of the returned Harry Osborn's attention, and winds up his girl, despite her interest in Peter.

Later in "Gangland" she got a facial makeover with Mary Jane's help and has stopped wearing her glasses since.

When the Goblin took control of New York, Peter and Gwen finally talked, and agreed to end their respective relationships so they could be together. However, when Harry lost his father, Gwen stayed with him out of guilt.

Harry Osborn

Harry is Peter's other best friend and son of ruthless industrialist Norman Osborn.

He constantly lives in his father's shadow and considers Peter a good friend despite being much richer than him. Harry drops Peter as a friend after failing to tutor him twice, leading to his failure on the calculus test. However, when Norman gives Harry a lecture on self-responsibility, Harry reconsiders his decision. He apologizes and forgives Peter, and together, they try out for the football team to teach Flash a lesson. Harry then becomes a member of the football team. As a result of this, he has become significantly more popular, even going to the fall formal with Kenny Kong's ex-girlfriend, Glory Grant.

In the episode "Catalysts", it's shown that he has developed a hidden jealousy towards Peter, seen where Pete is showing off his date, Mary Jane to the popular clique. In this episode, he's also dumped by Glory at the dance who reunited with Kenny "King" Kong again. Curiously, this provokes him to take one of Oscorp's drugs from his locker, named "Globulin Green", out of anxiety in order to enhanced his natural abilities in football. However, it affected Harry's mind, causing a number of black outs in which he could not account for his actions.

It was believed Harry was the Green Goblin, due to his being discovered by Spider-Man in the costume during one of his blackouts, complete with broken leg from one of their earlier battles. However, this was later learned to be a ruse by the true goblin. Norman pleaded on his behalf, and Spider-Man allowed Harry to go free on the condition he never again took the globulin green and became the Goblin. Gwen told Peter at school the next day that Harry was taking a leave of absence to get the help he needs.

Harry returned mid-second season, where he is shown to be developing a crush on Gwen, since he asks her to Flash's party "as friends", but is shown to look otherwise. This was proven in the next episode when they become a couple.

During a confrontation with Flash, whom was angered by Harry's leaving mid-season (and thus, indirectly, leading to his injury) found out Harry had been using performance enhancers to make it for the football team, and subsequently help them win their games. Flash turned him in to the principal, and Harry quickly found himself outcast by the in-crowd again... and with the pain of rejection and disappointment growing, the temptation to return to the globulin green was getting stronger. However, Harry smashed his hidden supply to prevent himself from giving in to temptation.

It was later learned Harry had never been the Green Goblin, but had been set up to take the fall for him. His father, Norman, was soon revealed to be the real Goblin, and subsequently apparently killed by his own pumpkin-bombs during a climatic confrontation with Spider-Man. Harry, beside himself with loss, consoled himself that at least he still had Gwen and Peter at his side, and has Gwen as a girlfriend. However, earlier, Harry had overheard a private conversation between Gwen and Peter where the two of them admitted their mutual attraction and their subsequent resolution to end their current relationships so they could be together. This makes the statement Harry makes--that if he didn't have Gwen, he'd probably backslide on his Gobulin Green addiction--appear to be highly calculated from the character's perspective, and bodes poorly for his future relationship with Peter.

Liz Allan

Liz was Flash Thompson's high-class cheerleader girlfriend. She is Hispanic (Puerto Rican) in this version.

Originally viewing Peter as a nerd and would call him "Petey", she was forced by their science teacher, Mr. Warren, into being tutored by Peter. She showed no interest at first and would rather fail until Peter bailed to chase down Electro. Liz had a change of heart and agreed to more tutoring as Dr. Connor's lab where Electro attacked. The following day at school, Liz brushed Peter off as usual, but only after Flash catches her talking to him. She showed slight regret after brushing him off and later wished him luck at football tryouts. In the episode "Catalysts", she was shocked when she saw Peter with Mary Jane and smiles (perhaps happy for Peter). However, she was shown mad when Mary Jane won as prom queen. Eventually, after Flash takes Mary Jane to a carnival at Coney Island, she decides to take Peter as a date. Despite her reputation potentially being in danger, we see another side to Liz's personality, as she seemed to harbor romantic feelings towards Peter. Later that night, for an unknown reason, and in tears, she had broken up with Flash. This might have either been because he took Mary Jane to the carnival or her feelings for Peter. This has yet to be revealed. She was concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack. She currently seems to have a crush on him as shown in "Nature vs. Nurture".

In the second season, Liz is shown to develop a hinted of jealously when she sees Gwen staring at Peter. Liz is also shown a sign of concern for Flash after the incident in a Football match, hinting that she might still have feelings for him. On New Year's, she reveals to Peter while she cares for Flash, she wants to be with him. She then kisses him. The two are a couple by the next episode, but their relationship is rocky at best. For one, Peter is always busy as Spider-Man. And for another, his interest is more in Gwen than Liz, despite his efforts to be a good boyfriend for the latter. Eventually, the two break it up, though Liz is heartbroken over it.

Eugene "Flash" Thompson

Flash is Peter Parker's high school nemesis and all-around bully. However, according to Flash's mother and Peter himself, during their early childhood, Flash and Peter had once been best friends. In fact, it was revealed that Peter was responsible for his nickname due to the fact that when Flash was a toddler, he loved being nude. As they grew older, their relationship shifted dramatically to Flash's current immature dislike and bullying behavior. The exact reason has not yet been revealed.

He's not very bright, but takes pleasure in pushing around "Puny Parker," especially since Eddie Brock graduated the year prior. In the episode "Catalysts" he was shocked when he saw Peter with Mary Jane. When Peter left, he danced with her and they became prom king and queen. He also invites her to the school football game, hinting that he either has an attraction to her, or is trying to steal her way from Peter. Mary and Flash later ended up going to the Coney Island carnival together, a move that costs his relationship with Liz. Apparently, he idolizes Spider-Man and tried to help him in his battle with Doctor Octopus. As per his deal with Peter, Flash dressed up as a cheerleader for Halloween with the rest of the team doing the same. He tried hitting on Mary Jane, but she ended up rejecting his forward advances, stating that she was a "free agent" and planned to remain one.

Flash was ridiculed by his classmates for believing that Spider-Man was still a hero when the Chameleon was framing him. Flash also helped Spider-Man save Gwen at the Thanksgiving Day parade after getting some help from the rest of the football team. It is revealed in episode 5 of season 2 that Peter and Eugene were best friends as small children. Peter also gave Eugene the nickname of Flash at that time because he would often run around naked.

During Season Two, he is injured during a football game which causes former girlfriend Liz Allan (who appears to be dating Peter) to become increasingly worried for him and supportive. However, Liz declares she loves Peter, and leaves Flash permanently. He then tries (and fails) to woo foreign-exchange student Sha Shan, even trying out for the School play. When Venom outs Peter's secret, Flash refuses to believe it, donning a costume to prove that anyone can dress up as Spider-Man. This causes Flash to be attacked by vengeful hoods, leading to the real Spider-Man saving him. Flash later returns the favour by distracting Venom long enough for Spider-Man to defeat him. It is later revealed that his mentioning of Peter wearing a Spider-Man costume at Halloween had convinced everyone that it was just a rumor that Peter was Spider-Man. Flash is approached by the play director, who, impressed by his portrayal of Spider-Man, offered a spot in A Midsummer Night's Dream, as playwright Nick Bottom, who gets turned into a donkey-like figure, to the amusement of Sha Shan.

Though overly jerkish and somewhat thick-headed, Flash has occasionally shown strong moral fiber. When Peter was being influenced by the symbiote to reject his friends sympathy, Flash pointed this out to him. This act made Peter realize the symbiote was controlling his dark emotions, and lead to its removal. Peter later thanked Flash for the talk-to, for which Eugene grudgingly accepted. He also came clean when he learned Harry had been using performance enhancers to help them win the Mustangs Games, even knowing what it would cost him personally. It was this later action which finally seemed to impress Sha Shan enough to offer to go out for coffee. After this act, the two begin a relationship, greatly improving his cocky personality. He performed awkwardly during the opening night of the play, but reached an emotional connection in a scene where Sha Shan (the Fairy Queen) croons him, and tells him he is her heart's desire.

L. Thompson Lincoln/Tombstone/Big Man

As the Main villain of the series, L. Thompson Lincoln is believed by Spider-Man to be the true identity of the "Big Man," though he says he's gone by many names, his favorite being Tombstone. Tombstone is one of the few villains to best Spider-Man in a fight, though it was largely because he caught Spider-Man off-guard and did not press the issue once he'd proven himself as anything but a pushover.

When rumors of the Spider-Man began circulating New York, the Big Man had Hammerhead investigate the matter proper to make certain his criminal associates were sincere. When they had confirmation, he ordered the Enforcers to squash Spider-Man, but they subsequently failed. However, the attacks of newly emerging supervillains such as the Vulture, Electro, and even the Big Man's Shocker inspired him with a new idea. Creating supervillains whom would keep Spider-Man busy (if not outright eliminate him) and protect his criminal interests.

When Spider-Man discovered his secret criminal identity, Thompson offered him money to look the other way in the future, but Spider-Man refused. In return, Lincoln called the police in to make Spider-Man look like the villain.

Later Spider-Man ended up saving him from an attack by the Green Goblin at a banquet he attended (they take the fight outside and Spidey hits the Goblin, saying "And THAT'S for making me protect Tombstone!"). When they got rid of the time-bomb the Green Goblin had planted, the crime boss commented to the Web-Slinger that he offered money for what Spider-Man just did for free. The Green Goblin later kidnaps Hammerhead in another attempt to kill Tombstone, which fails thanks to Spider-Man and Tombstone's intervention.

Some time later, the symbiote took temporary control and returned to Tombstone to accept his job offer. When released from the symbiote's control, Spider-Man broke the deal. Tombstone begrudgingly accepted Eddie Brock/Venom's job offer a moment later.

With Silvermane due to return to New York and the rising troubles from Dr. Octopus organized supervillains, Tombstone began to fear a gang war would soon erupt that would threaten the Big Man's Empire. To this end, he met with his Enforcers and had them upgraded by Tinkerer. This action, however, coupled with his growing friction with his subordinate Hammerhead, led the latter to begin to strike out on his own.

Later at the Valentine's Day summit, Hammerhead (through an unknown benefactor) sets him, Silvermane, and Doctor Octopus up in a three-way brawl for control of the New York underworld. After Sivermane and Ock were subdued, Spiderman and Tombstone finish the fight in a tunnel full of pipes. Spiderman defeats the Big Man by hurling an iron pump into his face knocking him out unconscious and finally turns him over to the police, with testimony from Foswell that confirmed he was the Big Man. He later made bail, but was to be kept under survallience, preventing a return to his criminal activities. As he returned to his office, he saw the Green Goblin sitting in his chair declaring himself the new Big Man.

Mary Jane Watson

Mary Jane was first mentioned early on in the series by an enthusiastic Aunt May. However, as Aunt May believed her to have a "wonderful personality", Peter was naturally off-put. A running gag that had occurred had Peter (and one time Harry) shuddering every time he heard Mary Jane's name, because she was described as having a "wonderful personality."

Eventually, on the night of the Midtown fall formal, Peter (who had just been rejected by Betty), prepares himself for the utter worst. To his main surprise, he is stunned to find that Mary Jane is in fact, gorgeous. Peter, stricken with no words, and a dazed grin; Mary Jane pulls a sly smile and states the famous line: "Face, it Tiger, you just hit the jackpot!" At the formal, Mary Jane manages to both surprise and impress the popular clique (Flash in particular). Her flirty behavior is also emphasized when dancing with a visibly interested Randy Robertson and Hobie Brown. She even wins prom queen, even though no one knows her name yet being called "That red headed girl that came with Peter Parker". Despite Peter having to leave for The Bugle (while in reality, Spider-Man), Mary Jane graciously offers him a last dance as the formal closes.

In the episode "Reaction", she goes to the carnival with Flash Thompson, but it's later shown that she never considered being in a true relationship with anybody. She later hooks up with Eddie Brock after attending a fundraiser together. After his reckless motorcycle driving and hearing his and Peter's history, she tells him to stop so she can get off. Before leaving, she tells Eddie that despite his many flaws, Peter was twice the man he'd ever be. She later revealed this to Peter, telling him he only asked her out to break the two of them up, as he was under the assumption they were dating. This information prompts Peter to believe Venom/Eddie is going after her when he remarks he would "harm the one he loves most". However, Venom ended up going after Gwen.

She transfers to Midtown High School after being accepted into the theater magnet. She later has a talk with Gwen concerning her feelings for Peter. Though Gwen initially denies having any romantic interest toward him, Mary Jane coaxes Gwen to admit her feelings toward him and warns her to let him know to avoid future regret.

In the second season, Mary Jane still talks about Gwen's current relationship with Peter and is surprised to hear that she kissed him and was pleased on how their relationship are progressing. Mary Jane has caught the attention of Liz Allan's older brother, Mark, and later developed an attraction to him.

May Parker

May is Peter's aunt and widow of Ben Parker.

She constantly worries about Peter's well-being (going so far as to establish a strict curfew) and works hard to pay the ever-growing stack of bills that keep coming, though she is equally adamant about Peter giving his hard-earned money to her without thinking of his own needs as well. In two straight episodes, May has mentioned Mary Jane Watson, who eventually came on the show herself in "The Invisible Hand".

While Spider-Man fought the Sinister Six, Aunt May tried to protect Spider-Man (earning the respect of the ever-polite Dr. Octopus, who held back their attack long enough for May Parker and Anna Watson to be rescued by Spider-Man). Afterwards, possibly due to the stress of the supervillains attack, she had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.

She recovered and was able to spend Thanksgiving with Peter, Gwen, Captain Stacy and oddly enough her doctor. She continued to improve day by day until she was in reasonably good health again.

Ben Parker

Peter's Uncle Ben raised him along with May when his parents died in a plane crash when they were young. Peter, while competing in a wresting competition, allowed a thief (later revealed to be the infamous Cat Burglar) to escape as revenge against Sullivan Edwards for not paying him the prize money. The same thief later killed Uncle Ben while stealing his car. Ben's spirit returned to help Spider-Man fight off the symbiote in Peter's mind, and assured the distraught Peter that he would 'always be there' for him.

J. Jonah Jameson

Jameson is the loudmouth, egotistical publisher of the Daily Bugle, New York's biggest newspaper.

He considers children like Peter to be nothing more than a nuisance and considers pictures of Spider-Man to be of the utmost importance. Jameson eventually chooses to hire Peter as a freelance photographer, despite his dislike of teenagers. In spite of his apparent selfish demeanor, he's willing to protect Peter's life, when Rhino demands his appearance in the Daily Bugle and he clearly saw Peter hiding in the closet he made an excuse that he wasn't there.

In "The Uncertainty Principle", after being frustrated by people recognizing Spider-Man over his son John, Jameson begins a smear campaign against the former.

When he heard an old lady got a heart attack during Spider-Man's battle with the Sinister Six in "Group Therapy", he wanted to put it in the front pages, thinking it would sell. But when he was told it was Peter's aunt, he changed his mind and tried to call Peter to let him know the bad news, but Peter didn't answer (believing Jameson is going to yell at him).

He has a personality like a get-whatever-he-wants person. He is also a brave person (in season 2, he yelled at Kraven the Hunter and his lion when they attempted to search for Spider-Man). In "Growing Pains", he convinces his son to become a superhero after he develops superpowers, and encourages him to hunt down Spider-Man. After John is driven insane, Jameson blames Spider-Man for this, and his hatred of him grows.

Jonah Jameson is the first to accuse Spider-Man of mischief or malicious intent, and was overjoyed at the prospect of having him locked up in the Vault.

Norman Osborn/Green Goblin

Norman is Harry's strict, domineering father and dirty-dealing CEO of OsCorp. Norman never apologizes, even when he is wrong and goes to any length to make the most money, including stealing Adrian Toomes' flight technology and later, through criminal activities of an even more despicable nature. Even after he was saved by Spider-Man from Vulture's wrath, he insists on having nothing to do with him, so as to keep business propositions between him and Tombstone open.

Norman secretly made a deal with Hammerhead and Tombstone to create several supervillains so Spider-Man would be too distracted to stop their operations. After the Sandman and Rhino are swiftly defeated, Norman suggests pausing their experiments for a while until people stop asking questions, but Hammerhead refuses to let him, threatening to reveal his involvement using Dr. Octavius as a witness.

After the Green Goblin surfaced, and Octavius became the powerful Dr. Octopus, Hammerhead accused Norman of having something to do with it, though he assured the mobster otherwise, stating that the Goblin's crimes had also been against his company. Spider-Man also suspected this, only for him to shocked to see Harry behind the mask. Norman pleaded with Spider-Man not to turn Harry in and Spider-Man agreed as long as the Green Goblin never returns.

Norman Osborn later donates to ESU and even helps persuade Martha Connors to reinstate Peter, although he also leads maverick Dr. Miles Warren to joining their scientific team. Norman later calls Peter to inform him that and to become his mentor. When all of the organized crime factions had a bidding on a chip that contained the code for creating an army of Rhino soldiers, it is revealed that Norman has secretly holding the bid and provided a fake chip, while he kept the real one and made money from the bid. His plans for the chip remain to be seen.

The Green Goblin later resurfaces, but unbeknownst to all involved, it is Norman Osborn, who set-up his son, and later used Chameleon to fool Spider-Man, leading him into deadly trap after deadly trap. He arranged for Tombstone, Silvermane, and Dr. Octopus to battle one another, until Spider-Man brought them all to justice... leaving Tombstone's criminal empire free for the Goblin to control. Then he set Mark Allan (now Molten Man) after Spider-Man, and even arranged for him to be trapped inside the Vault with a number of criminals he'd put away. His schemes culminated in a deadly show-down atop of the city, laden with goblin traps and filled with his pumpkin mercenaries, until finally he was unmasked... and knocked into a water-tower filled with his own bombs, which promptly exploded.

He survived, however, and seems to have slipped into obscurity as a Mr. Roman while his family mourns his death. It was not explained at any time if anyone beside Harry and Spider-Man (and the Chameleon) knew Norman is the Green Goblin.

It is so far unclear if Norman knows or ever did know Spider-Man's identity, but it is possible, given the close interaction he has with both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. When approached by Ned Lee regarding the possibility they were one and the same, he dismissed the idea with a simple 'no'.

Overall, Norman is a sinister, crafty mastermind, who is a high figure in terms of science, technology, business, and crime itself. His figure of the Goblin is molded from a combination of carefree recklessness and manic activity, all the while manipulating and using others as pawns for his own wicked schemes.

Captain George Stacy

A police captain and father of Gwen Stacy, he often sees Spider-Man in action, or the results of his work, and thus truly believes him to be a hero, albeit one operating outside of the law.

When the Chameleon tried to frame Spider-Man by committing crimes while disguised as the webswinger in "Persona", Stacy defended him, pointing out that the robber Spider-Man was taller than the real Spider-Man. Stacy also warned Spider-Man that as long as he wore a mask, people would wonder. In "Group Therapy," Stacy was caught in a disbelief when he saw Spider-Man nearly beaten Doctor Octopus to death under the influence of the alien symbiote. He later joins the Parkers with Gwen for Thanksgiving, thankful that his daughter was saved by Spider-Man.

Captain Stacy is later forced by Doctor Octopus (posing as the Master Planner) to steal secret codes from Homeland Security when the villain kidnaps Gwen. Spider-Man saves his daughter, and later, Stacy joins Midtown High School as an instructor for a criminal justice class in order to get close to his daughter (or rather, to keep a closer eye on her).

When both Venom and Chameleon impersonated Spider-Man, George Stacy was unconvinced either was the genuine article. And he was able to back up the second claim by noting the distinct differences between the black-suit Spider-Man and Venom.

Sometime after Venom outted Spider-Man's secret identity, it is hinted that he now knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and gives his approval in his own way. He often speaks in innuendo and encrypted dialogue to both Parker and Spider-Man that aids him in his endeavors, and provides covers and alibis to aid Peter in slipping away from school activities to do his superhero work.

Supporting Characters

Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard

Dr. Curt Connors is a respected scientist, interested in genetics. He runs a biology lab at Empire State University with his wife Martha. Although his primary interest was in lizard DNA, he also experimented on spiders, splicing together the best traits from multiple species into 'super-spiders'. It was due to his research, and in his very laboratory, that Peter Parker was bitten and transformed into Spider-Man.

He employees Eddie Brock as a lab assistant and Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy as interns until Peter was fired due to 'trust issues' with his wife. Having lost his right arm in the first Gulf War, Connors had been secretly experimenting with Lizard DNA to regrow his arm. When one vial was hit by Electro's lightning bolt, it charged the DNA and slowly turned Connors into the Lizard after injecting himself with it. He eventually was cured by Spider-Man but it left him depressed about his irresponsibility from his research.

The alien symbiote was brought to Dr. Connors' lab for study, refueling his interest in science. The Chameleon disguised himself as Connors in an attempt to steal the symbiote, but a fight between Black Cat and Spider-Man led to Spidey getting the symbiote before him.

Curt later convinces Martha to re-hire Peter after they gain more money and new staff. He continues to show guilt for his Lizard incident when he discourages Miles Warren's research and is reminded of the tragic status of John Jameson and Electro by Miles, both victims he was unable to find a cure for despite their coming to him for help. After Eddie Brock steals a vial of gene cleanser from the lab, Miles took control of the lab from Curt from the ESU board. He further complicated the matter by threatening to expose Connors as the Lizard, having deduced it from his research and the photos Peter took.

After Dr. Warren took control of the lab and continued his dirty dealings, Curt took his wife and son and decided to continue their research in Florida.

Martha Connors

Martha is Dr. Curt Connors wife and fellow scientist. She is immediately angered after finding out that her husband had been tampering with lizard DNA to regrow his arm, but dismissed it after the experiment worked. When the mutation continued to the point where Dr. Connors turned into the Lizard, Martha led the team that created the antidote based on Curt's research. After the incident, Martha fires Peter for abandoning the cure effort to take pictures of the Lizard. She also mentioned that she can't trust Peter especially when Eddie Brock denied a hook-up for Peter Parker when it came to the symbiote discovery.

Martha later revealed that since the symbiote was stolen, the lab was denied a grant and she was forced to fire Eddie.

In "Blueprints," she and Curt were shown having dinner with Norman Osborn, Aaron Warren, and Miles Warren. When Aaron brought up Peter, Martha mentioned to have some trust issues. When her husband mentioned about everyone deserving a second chance, Martha tells them that Peter is reinstated.

After the Connors had the lab taken away by Miles Warren, they elected to move to Florida.

Rand Robertson

Rand is on the Midtown High School football team with Flash, but shown to be much nicer and more neutral than his teammate. He is dating Sally Avril and is the son of Joe "Robbie" Robertson. He is not pleased with his girlfriend's snobby behavior, especially when he was watching John Jameson's critical landing while Sally wasn't concerned. Although he does not try to protect Peter from being bullied by his fellow players, he does not get involved in it either. When Peter attempted to ask out Sally, Rand seemed unconcerned and said simply "S'cool." He was concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack. He accepted Peter's apology for his aggressive attitude (influenced by the Symbiote).

He takes a remarkably laid back attitude towards most things... one reason he's one of the few people who can truly stand Sally Avril, although he often wears a look of immense annoyance towards her at times, such as during Flash's birthday video.

Kenny "King" Kong

Kenny is on the Midtown High School football team and sidekick to Flash Thompson as the school bully. He dated Glory Grant until she broke up with him as he was acting too childish even after he humiliated Harry Osborn. He and Glory got back together at the fall formal, humiliating Harry, after Kenny apologized to her for his behavior. Surprisingly, he was visibly concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack. It appears that like his Ultimate Spider-Man counterpart, Kenny has the potential to be a decent guy when he is not around Flash.

Hobie Brown

Hobie is a friend of Flash Thompson's. Flash helped Hobie gain a position on the football team by throwing him easy passes, but Harry Osborn beat him for the position and Hobie became the back-up. He was visibly concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack.

A recurring joke in this series has him not having a speaking role in the series, and is usually interrupted when he is about to speak. The one time he was able to speak so far was when he was cast as Puck in the school play, as a substitute for Harry Osborn.

Glory Grant

Unlike most of the other popular kids at the Midtown, Glory is one of the few who seems less arrogant about her status and behaves more friendly towards the unpopular kids such as Peter and Harry.

Glory is Kenny Kong's on-and-off-again girlfriend. She broke up with him (again) for being too childish and showed some interest towards Harry Osborn, even going as far as going to the fall formal with him. Kong and Glory got back together at the fall formal after he apologizes for his behavior, humiliating Harry. She was worried about Harry after he disappeared from the formal. Later, she was angry when Kong dressed as a cheerleader for Halloween, thinking he was making fun of her, presumably restarting their on-and-off cycle again. She was visibly concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack.

Sally Avril

Sally is Rand Robertson's snobby cheerleader girlfriend and one-time crush of Peter Parker.

She considers Peter a grade-A nerd, and refuses to have anything to do with him. She was shocked when she saw Peter with Mary Jane Watson, and can't believe that someone like Mary Jane would go out with a nerd like Peter. Her relationship with Rand took a sour turn when he left her to dance with Mary Jane. She was also angry when Mary Jane won as formal queen. In "Reaction", she blamed Peter for Flash and Liz's breaking up at the Coney Island carnival. She was among those ridiculing Flash for believing Spider-Man was framed. However, as stated by Flash in "Intervention", Sally was concerned about Peter when his Aunt May had a heart attack.

In the Season 2 episode "Probable Cause" she was partnered with Peter for a police ride along, to her dismay. After insulting him all night, Peter decided to "take some photos" of Shocker and The Enforcers during a robbery. The van he was supposedly hiding behind exploded during the fight and his destroyed camera landed feet away from Sally. Despite all her animosity towards him in the past, she has shown to actually care about Peter, such as in the episode "Probable Cause" were she believed he's dead and mourned over him, when he turned up unharmed. She hugged him in relief, before reverting back to her normal self.

Sha Shan Nguyen

Sha Shan briefly appeared in the episode "Catalysts" in season one, and then in "First Steps" in season two when Flash invited her to his birthday party. Flash is interested in her, but she coldly rejects his advances. In "Growing Pains," she auditions for a play that is directed by St. John Devereaux. In yet another attempt to get Sha Shan to become his girlfriend, Flash joins the play (A Midsummer Night's Dream), but Sha Shan still rejects him. However, she ultimately gets together with Flash when he tells about Harry's addiction to the Gobulin Green helping them win the championship, showing that he only wants to win fairly. In "Gangland", she goes out with him on Valentine's Day, which causes Flash to try and be proper in order to not embarrass himself or Sha Shan, but she tells him that she accepts him for who he is, an honest caring person, and agrees to dance with him after he tells her "I honestly want nothing more".

Anna Watson

Anna Watson is a friend of May Parker, and Mary Jane's aunt who lives next door.

Aaron Warren

Aaron Warren is Midtown's biology teacher.

He considers Peter and Gwen to be his brightest students and recommended them for the internship positions with Dr. Connors at Empire State University. He also suggested that Liz be tutored by Peter after she received a D- on a test.

In "Blueprints," he collaborates with his brother Miles alongside Curt and Martha Connors in a research with Norman Osborn providing the funding. He even helped Curt persuade Martha to reinstate Peter.

Betty Brant

Betty is J. Jonah Jameson's personal secretary. She is calm and collected, even during Jameson's constant outrages.

Peter asked Betty to his school dance, but she politely turned him down as she was too old for him. Peter refused to stop asking, and Betty told him she would consider it, but was talked out of it by Aunt May.

In season two, she finds out Peter's secret in the episode growing pains when Venom outs him. She may be romantically interested in Ned Lee, as she was about to respond to his Ned about a date, Jameson interrupted them.

Joseph "Robbie" Robertson

Robbie is the Editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle and father to Rand Robertson.

His nicer deposition is a much needed balance against J. Jonah Jameson's perpetual outrage. He was reluctant to give Ned Lee the Green Goblin story.

Frederick Foswell/Patch

Frederick's works at the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson mentions Foswell. This series version of Foswell even appears briefly in "Market Forces", with blonde hair, a mustache, and a green business suit. He won a Pulitzer 12 years ago when he exposed the criminal activities of crime lord Silvermane. Later "The Invisible Hand", shows Foswell working as a Bugle employee. At the office, he is asked about the Big Man by Peter Parker. The only other related name Parker learned was "Lincoln," and Foswell cites rumors that "L. Thompson Lincoln" was the Big Man, though Foswell admits that his investigation has led him to believe that Lincoln is not the Big Man.

Foswell appears in his "Patch" persona in "Reinforcement". Spider-Man interrogates him about the Master Planner. Later in "Accomplices", he uses the Patch persona to obtain information about a bidding involving the Big Man, Dr. Octopus, and Silvermane. He works with Peter Parker to expose the truth, and both convince J. Jonah Jameson to run the story. In "Gangland", he attends the Valentine's Day's summit under the Patch persona, and uses the information he's gained to help bring down Tombstone by revealing his role as the Big Man to the world.

Despite his "other" alter-ego in the comics, it seems unlikely that Foswell has such a calling in the Spectacular-verse, given his actions during the rhino chip bidding and the valentine's day summit. However, one can never be too sure...

Ned Lee

Ned is a reporter for the Daily Bugle and one of Peter Parker's coworkers.

After watching Spider-Man in action, he suggests an investigation into finding his true identity. Jameson says his real identity doesn't sell newspapers, but Robbie urges him to go with the investigation, anyway. Despite Robbie's misgivings, Ned was given the Green Goblin story as well.

The final of the first four to find out about Pete's secret. He questions Peter, and interviews everyone both Peter and Spider-Man knows about his identity. He eventually figures out he can't be Spider-Man, since he wore his costume unmasked on Halloween night, and continues his investigation. It is hinted that he is romantically interested in Betty Brant; as he was interrogating her, he also asked her on a date.

Still trying to find out if Spider-Man and the Green Goblin are one in the same, he'll probably go snooping around OsCorp, and will probably be transformed into the Hobgoblin, by the Green Goblin. Or, possibly, he'll be used as a decoy by Rodrick Kingsley in a similar manner to Norman using Harry.

John Jameson/Colonel Jupiter

An Air Force colonel, astronaut, and son of J. Jonah Jameson.

John Jameson visited his father the week before his launch date. His father takes him to a benefit party for one of L. Thompson Lincoln's charities, but John laments that he would have rathered they had just gone together for a Steak dinner. Just as they are about to leave, the Green Goblin crashes the party and hold the guests hostage. John attacks one of the Goblin's henchmen, but is hit by the Goblin's laser. He later helps Spider-Man find a pumpkin bomb Goblin hid in the chandelier and warns his father not to report his heroism as it would lead to an investigation that could get him pulled from the space mission.

He successfully leaves for space the following week. The night before Halloween, a stray meteor hit the space shuttle, damaging the heat shield. Despite the difficulty, John managed to safely land the shuttle, bringing a strange alien symbiote with him. Sometime later, it is revealed that John was infected with spores from the symbiote, which causes him to become bigger, stronger, and more agile, and Curt Connors develops a special suit for him to handle his new powers. At the request of his father, he comes the superhero Colonel Jupiter, and tries to fight Spider-Man, who is framed of crimes by Venom. However, the spores slowly drive John insane, forcing Spider-Man to kill the spores by electrocuting him.

John, though cured, is still insane and admitted to Ravencroft Asylum, where he craves for more power. His father blames Spider-Man for the tragedy saying that he destroyed his son.

Felicia Hardy/Black Cat

Briefly appears in the episode "The Uncertainty Principle", and full debut in the episode "Persona", the Black Cat is depicted as a simply being a thief, and her real identity has yet to seen. She possess a wit like Spider-Man does, and has even implied to have a romantic interest for him, having flirted with him every time they met.

Black Cat is introduced in the final arc of the first season, where she meets Spider-Man in an attempt to steal the Symbiote, but was stopped by Spider-Man. When the Chameleon frames Spider-Man, she agrees to help clear his name, and steal the mayor's necklace as well. She constantly flirts with Spider-Man throughout the episode. At the end of the episode, she gives Spider-Man an upside-down kiss with his mask raised half-way reminiscent to her signature way of kissing him in Spider-Man: The Animated Series and disappears afterwords. However, it is revealed that she actually kissed him to distract him from noticing Mayor Waters's stolen tiger necklace.

She also has cameos in the episodes "Intervention" (via flashbacks from the season's previous episodes), and "Nature vs. Nurture".

She returns in "Accomplices", attempting to steal a jump drive before an underworld auction, but is caught in the act by the bidders, who are Hammerhead, Silver Sable, Doctor Octopus (with Vulture), Frederick Foswell (in disguise) and Roderick Kingsley.

Finally, she appears in the twelfth episode of season two, "Opening Night". She infiltrated The Vault in hopes of releasing her incarcerated father, who seems to confirm her identity as Felicia Hardy. At the same time Spider-Man was trapped in the Vault while testing the security, due to The Green Goblin hacking the prison's computer protocols. Black Cat helps Spider-man take out the criminals, while at the same time revealing to Spider-Man her father, the Cat Burglar: the man who killed Uncle Ben Parker. In the climax, one of the trio must trap the inmates in a chamber and release tranquilizer gas. Black Cat volunteers Spider-Man to, but her father, still guilty from Ben's murder, decided to release the gas into the chamber at the cost of his freedom. When Spider-Man and Cat escape, the Green Goblin arrives and surprise attacks Spider-Man. Black Cat drives the Goblin away, but then storms off into the night at the loss of her father's freedom from the prison, vowing to Spider-Man that she'll never forgive him for making her father turn himself in.

Villains

Adrian Toomes/Vulture

Adrian Toomes is an elderly scientist tricked by Norman Osborn to reveal his plans for flying technology, not knowing that Osborn was planning on stealing his invention and blaming his friend Octavius until he learns the truth. After Osborn showed no remorse for his actions, Toomes donned his own flying suit and dubbed himself Vulture (based on an insult Norman had given him earlier in the day) in order to force Norman to apologize until Spider-Man stopped him.

Vulture still held his grudge against Osborn when he joined the Sinister Six to fight Spider-Man. His flight pack was reinforced with steel, but was still defeated by Spider-Man after he knocked him unconscious by damaging the helmet he wears.

Vulture was sprung from prison a second time and joined the Sinister Six under the command of the Master Planner. He joined Electro in attacking a skating rink. Spider-Man arrived and knocked a large Christmas Tree onto Vulture. By the time the cops arrived, Vulture had turned out to be extracted at the last minute under orders of the Master Planner.

When Octopus revealed himself as the Master Planner, Vulture aided in his machinery, and suggested the test run be done in an attempt to kill Norman Osborn. Though the test failed (thanks to an intervention from Spider-Man), Adrian seemed content that both of his enemies would soon fall. He aided Electro in the abduction of Gwen Stacy, and then made an attack on Homeland Security in order to aid the Master Plan. When Doctor Octopus' plan fell to pieces, he instructed Vulture to abort his mission.

In Dr. Octopus' rising new supervillain empire, the Vulture seems to be his right-hand man, as a respected fellow scientist. The two are frequently seen together, such as when they appeared during the Supersoldier Rhino chip bidding. He later accomponied Doctor Octopus to the Valentine's Day summit, but he, along with the others there, were betrayed by Hammerhead, and before he could join the fight, the Vulture was knocked out by being fired at by Hammerhead, and hitting the ceiling, knocking him out. However, he presumably got away as he is not seen being arrested with Doctor Octopus and the others.

Cletus Kasady/Carnage

  • Voice Actor:???

Cletus Kasady is an inmate at Ravencroft first seen in Reinforcement.

Mark Allan/Molten Man

Mark Allan is Liz Allan's brother. He first appeared in "First Steps" where it was mentioned that he just got out of juvenile hall. Mark works in the school play, and develops interest in Mary Jane Watson, who returns the favor. Later, his crush on her develops, and the two agree to go on a date on Valentine's Day. However, when Peter left the party to fight Doctor Octopus, Silvermane and Tombstone, and returned later, Mark told Peter that he and Liz know that Peter is still wanting Gwen, and he warns Peter by telling him that Liz is too good for him.

However, he is shown to have not totally conquered his criminal ways as of yet, as on Valentine's Day, he meets with Tombstone's associate Blackie Gaxton, which is observed by Liz.

Mark changes into Molten Man in the Season 2 episode "Subtext. He is tricked into being Molten Man with the explanation that his gambling debt would be paid off if he volunteered to be a test subject. Believing he could control the molten armor at will, he went to a horse race to gamble(again). However, the armor was controlled by a remote Green Goblin had. Mark was told he would gain the button and the power if he defeated Spider-Man. During their fight, he almost inadvertently killed Liz and Mary Jane in a massive fire, but Spider-Man saved them. Spider-Man defeated him by hanging him upside down in a torrent of water from a fire hydrant until Goblin deactivated the armor. Mark was taken into custody to try and find a cure.

He returns in the following episode "Opening Night". He at first snaps at the Green Goblin due to him being in prison now, but when Goblin activated his armor again, he had no choice. He uses his magma powers to flood a vent with lava in an attempt to get rid of Spider-Man and Black Cat. He inadvertantly destroys a Mysterio robot when Spider-Man tricks him into throwing a lava ball and pulls the bot in the way. In the end, he is detained with the other criminals when Black Cat's father floods the chamber they're in with knockout gas.

Miles Warren

Dr. Warren is a scheming scientist and the younger brother of Aaron Warren. He joins the ESU research laboratory to work with Curt and Martha Connors with his reputation bringing in much needed grants and private funding. He is also responsible for the transformation of Kraven the Hunter in the season 2 episode "Destructive Testing". Warren seems to have some dislike of Connors, even so far as to remind him of his experiences with a crazed John Jameson and Electro when at Ravencroft. After the theft of gene cleanser from the lab, Miles proceeds to take control of the ESU laboratory away from the Connors. He later participates in the transformation of Mark Allan into the Molten Man, and threatens to expose Connors' identity as the former Lizard when the latter discovers his dirty work.

Hammerhead

Hammerhead was originally Tombstone's second in command, and organized much of the mysterious Big Man's criminal empire, providing its face (and more frequently, muscle) in its various dealings. It was through Hammerhead that the Big Man made a deal with Norman Osborn to continue making supervillains so Spider-Man would be too distracted to stop the Big Man's operations. He also once worked for Silvermane, and had a relationship with his daughter, Sable. They broke up, but there is a differing opinion over whom was responsible and why.

When some time later the Green Goblin emerged, Hammerhead accused Norman for it, though seemed to believe his excuses that the Goblin was a common enemy. He was later taken hostage by the Goblin, who wanted to lure the Big Man into a trap and assassinate him. Eventually that plan failed, thanks to the combined efforts of Tombstone and Spider-Man and both Lincoln and Hammerhead managed to escape unscratched. Hammerhead also helped from the outside with the escape of the Sinister Six from Ryker's Island. He took Ox and Fancy Dan with him while instructing Shocker to remain with the others and fight Spider-Man.

He is seen sometime later organizing some of Sandman's criminal activities, apparently at the behest of the Big Man. The last of which sends Sandman to intercept an oil tanker, which Hammerhead has men ready to steal oil from. When the battle causes the ship to fall apart, Hammerhead calls off the mission and slips away before being noticed. He later bids on behalf of the Big Man about the Rhino Supersoldier chip, but runs into conflict with Silver Sable, Rhino, and Spider-Man.

Because of his recent failures, Tombstone has come to trust Hammerhead less and less with his duties, which has in turn fueled Hammerhead's own distaste for the pale mobster, and prompted him to make his own grab for power. He sabotaged the efforts of the Enforcers discreetly, allowing them to be captured, so the Big Man's Empire would be weakened in the coming gang wars.

He later appears with Tombstone at the Valetine Day's summit to decide the status of the New York crime scene, but Hammerhead then starts a fight by tranquilizing Sable, and tossing a machine gun to Tombstone, blaming the fight on him. He sits out the rest of the battle, and when confronted by a trembling Silver Sable, he coldly demands her to be nice. Hammerhead witnesses the rest of the battle outside and Tombstone threatens him by telling him to expect a "severence package" when he is free. Later, it is revealed that the Green Goblin manipulated Hammerhead into going against the Big Man so that he could gain control of the Big Man's empire for himself. He has not been seen since, presumably having slipped out of town to avoid the aftermath of the Summit.

Hammerhead is one of the most featured villains in the series, having made an appearance in lots of episodes, despite his only engaging in combat a few times.

Flint Marko/Sandman

Flint Marko is introduced as a petty crook, seen working alongside Alex O'Hirn under the Big Man. He had been captured by Spider-Man twice before the start of the series, and several times afterwards as well, usually with relative ease. Unlike his partner O'Hirn, Marko's motivation remained solely to seek out money despite Spider-Man's constant foilings.

Marko continued to work for Big Man as a hired hand until being selected as the first of many guinea pig-supervillains created under the deal between Big Man and Norman Osborn. He originally was to be bonded with a silicon armor, but instead he bonded with the sand particles on the floor, turning his body into a shapeshifting weapon. Now calling himself the Sandman, he creates chaos where ever he goes, robbing banks and ATMs and even an armored car. After attempting a few robberies, he faces Spider-Man in a construction site and, ultimately, Marko was defeated as Spider-Man used a tank of wet, quick-drying cement to encase him, stopping him in his tracks as a statue.

Sandman was subsequently imprisoned at Rykers in a specially made cell, but escaped Ryker's Island with the other members of the Sinister Six. He was then defeated with the rest of the team at Central Park when Spider-Man used one Shocker's gauntlets to vibrate him continuously, destabilizing his body and turning him into a pile of sand.

Sandman and Rhino escape from prison a second time and are recruited by Master Planner to rejoin the Sinister Six. He and Rhino attacked Spider-Man following Electro's defeat. Spider-Man doused him with a fire hydrant and buried him in snow for Sandman to be frozen by the night air. Master Planner had him extracted at the last minute before the police arrived.

He reappears in "First Steps", again trying to make his big score, apparently at the behest of Hammerhead. Several of his schemes go awry, but he also demonstrates an ability to grow in size and power with more raw silicates (i.e. sand) to add to his own. This he uses to halt an oil-tanker which Hammerhead wanted to pilfer the oil from. However, during this time another side is seen in Marko, as he protects a little girl (obstensibly to frighten off some teenaged bullies) and saves the crew of the tanker when it catches fire, revealing that his primary desire is to secure his "big score", not to harm innocent bystanders. He even tosses Spider-Man aside before wrapping the tanker in sand before it explodes, thus containing the impact... but turning himself into glass. His seemingly selfless sacrifices causes even Spider-Man to admire his act of bravery. Sandman briefly appears at the end of the episode, having survived the explosion, before slipping away.

Alex O'Hirn/Rhino

At first Alexander "Alex" O'Hirn is just a petty crook, seen working with Flint Marko under orders of the Big Man. He is captured by Spider-Man with ease times and time again, which increases his annoyance and hatred of Spider-Man. Unlike his partner, money is a secondary interest to him, his primary one being revenge.

He later becomes one of OsCorp's guinea pig-supervillains and is bonded with a thick titanium resin armor, transforming him into a giant being who bears strong characteristics to a Rhinoceros, calling himself the Rhino. After a fierce battle, Spider-Man defeated Rhino by overheating him using the sewer's steam pipes, since the impenetrable armor makes it difficult for O'Hirn to sweat properly. Thereafter, the web-slinger asks him who the Big Man really is and learns from a mildly delusional Rhino that he is actually none other but the respected businessman L. Thompson Lincoln.

Rhino escaped Ryker's Island and fought Spider-Man as a member of the Sinister Six, but was defeated when he was accidentally hit by Shocker and Electro at the same time. They were then returned to prison, but subsequently escaped from prison (again) and were recruited by Master Planner to join the new Sinister Six. He and Sandman attacked Spider-Man after Electro's defeat. Luring Rhino onto the ice-covered bay, Spider-Man throws him an oxygen tank telling him he'll need it (to which he coldly replies to the web head ,"I hate you... so, so, much") as Rhino falls through the ice. Master Planner had him extracted at the last minute.

He continued to work on-and-off for Octavius once he was outed as the Master Planner. The good doctor gave him info concerning the releases of a microchip with blueprints to create more of him. This spurred the Rhino on to destroy it before a crime lord could get their hands on it, so he could remain unique. He even temporarily teamed up with Spider-Man to fight Hammerhead and Silver Sable. The chip was destroyed, though it was later revealed to be a fake. He is later seen inside of Ryker's Vault, and attempted to gain revenge on Spider-Man when he became entrapped there, but was unable to.

Enforcers

Tombstone employed the Enforcers to take care of Spider-Man. Among its members are:

Montana/Shocker

Montana is the field leader of the Enforcers and is a trained mercenary, with a southern accent. Despite his criminal activities, he is very much a professional, having no personal grudge with Spider-Man, just considering it his responsibility to bring him down. Though Spider-Man's antics can wear on his nerves (and frequently do). He speaks with a southern accent and enjoys wearing a cowboy hat when out of uniform.

After the failure of Fancy Dan and Ox, Montana chased Spider-Man down with the helicopter until Spider-Man blew out the rear rudder with Vulture's wing. Montana managed to escape capture while Spider-Man was busy with Vulture, eluding capture by the police.

During one of his subsequent criminal activities, in which he then stole technology from TriCorp, he then underwent a transformation into the villain Shocker under Hammerhead's orders. As the Shocker, he was able to defeat Spider-Man with relative ease. After realizing he didn't kill Spider-Man he fought him again at a condemned theater. Spider-Man was able to defeat him by literally bringing the house down on top of him. He was shown webbed up with his costume on the ground as the police arrived.

Montana as Shocker joined the Sinister Six to finish his mission, though he found the amateur attitudes of teammates and their short-sightedness irritating, and had hoped to call in for the okay to ditch them at one point. He was once again defeated after Spider-Man removed his gauntlets and overloaded his suit, and knocked him unconscious with the symbiote's power.

Shocker later appeared alongside Richocet and Ox as part of the New Enforcers. His team was assembled to pilfer some gold, and very nearly got away with it (to say nothing of finally killing Spider-Man) but Hammerhead betrayed the team, and they were arrested. They were later seen inside of Ryker's Vault, and attempted to gain revenge on Spider-Man when he became entrapped there, but were unable to.

It seems Montana is the actual owner of the Big Sky Billiard Room, though Blackie Gaxton works as his manager. He also seems to be constantly saying "Squash the Bug", to which Spidey asks if he knows any other tunes.

Fancy Dan/Ricochet

Fancy Dan is the martial artist of the Enforcers and is shown to be able to dodge Spider-Man's web with ease and can take him in hand-to-hand combat. Spider-Man managed to get the upper hand and tie him up with webbing.

Fancy Dan escaped from Ryker's Island with the Sinister Six, but was picked up by Hammerhead and did not participate in the battles against Spider-Man.

He later returned in a new suit (courtesy of the Tinkerer) making him Richocet, part of the New Enforcers.

Ox

Ox is the brute force of the Enforcers, being able to break Spider-Man's web with ease. Ox jumped off the building to tackle Spider-Man in midair until Spider-Man stood on the wall, forcing Ox to let go. Spider-Man tied him up hanging from a flagpole, knowing if he was to break the webbing, he would fall to his death.

Like Fancy Dan, Ox escaped from Ryker's Island with the Sinister Six, but left with Hammerhead and did not fight Spider-Man with the others.

He later returned in a new suit that gives him enhanced strength (courtesy of the Tinkerer) but chose to retain his Ox moniker, as part of the New Enforcers.

Max Dillon/Electro

Maxwell Dillon was a young 18 year old electrician and a friend of Dr. Curt Connors until he suffered a terrible accident which transformed him into the supervillain Electro.

Accidentally dropping his power drill on a faulty wire - sending an electrical shock through his body - he was thrown back against a tank of electric eels Dr. Connors was experimenting with. His body began to generate more electricity to the point that a protective suit was made to protect everyone around him. Due to his new condition, Max found many of the common joys of ordinary human life denied him, unable to watch football or drink a cup of coffee. Due to this and the looks of others, Max quickly became paranoid. This, coupled with a mistaken Spider-Man trying to bring him in as a common crook, made Max snap. He stormed the ESU labs, taking the Connors and their students hostage, demanding a cure, angrily stating that as long as he was the way he was, he was no longer Max Dillon. In that moment, he chose the name Electro for himself (based on a throwaway nickname Spidey had handed him during their last confrontation).

Spider-Man held him off until Dr. Connors escaped. His only hope for a cure gone, Max went berserk and attacked him. He was defeated by Spider-Man after he was kicked into a swimming pool, violently knocking him out.

Electro was taken to Ravencroft to be placed under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Kafka for his rehabilitation. During this time, he was contacted by Dr. Octopus, who proposed an alliance. Because of that, he was given a clean slate of health and released. He subsequently helped the Sinister Six members break out of Ryker's Island to defeat Spider-Man, his rage for the superhero not having diminished an ounce since his incarceration. Electro was defeated when Spider-Man threw the unconscious Rhino on top of him. He briefly mentioned desiring a cure, hoping that Doctor Octopus could help him, but curiously continued to despise the name Maxwell, wanting to be referred to as Electro still.

Returning to Ravencroft for another round of treatment, Max seemed to abandon all hope at a normal life, and even seemed a little sickened when his idol Octopus (who was incarcerated alongside him) showed signs of guilt and remorse. When Kraven came to break the two of them out, Electro told him he was wasting his time, and then fried Dr. Kafka for calling him Max, stating in no uncertain terms "I told you... its Electro." He subsequently rejoined the new Sinister Six, under the Master Planner. Under the Planner's orders, he and Vulture attacked a skating rink when Spider-Man arrived. Spider-Man lured Electro to a tire-filled area where constant attacks upon the ones thrown at Electro melted and stuck him to the floor in a non-conductive cocoon of rubber. Tinkerer had him extracted at the last minute.

Subsequently, Electro learns that Doctor Octopus was the Master Planner all along, and continued to work under his employ. He and Vulture abducted Gwen Stacy from the streets. As Vulture got away with her, Electro escaped with Tinkerer and were followed by Spider-Man. Electro managed to evade Spider-Man, though how remains a mystery, and returned to the Master Planners base of operations. Spider-Man managed to defeat Electro in Doctor Octopus' undersea base, knocking him out under a heavy beam. When the base was self-destructing, Spider-Man (very reluctantly) grabbed him as he and Gwen made their escape, and he was returned to Ravencroft.

Dr. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus/Master Planner

Dr. Octavius is a research scientist working under Norman Osborn at OsCorp. He is very timid and willing to apologize for every little thing, a direct contrast to his boss, Norman. He is one of OsCorp's most intelligent scientists and the creator of a four armed harness that makes him able to do dangerous experiments, playing a part in the creation of Sandman and Rhino.

Eventually, as the result of a devastating accident (orchestrated by the Green Goblin), his arms became permanently fused to his back and he was driven out of his mind, becoming the vengeful Dr. Octopus. He attacked his former employer, and then Spider-Man, blaming him for the accident which created him (believing Spider-Man to be acting out of his own desire to have revenge for Octavious' creation of the supervillains who attacked him). Spider-Man eventually defeated the menacing doctor at a Coney Island carnival.

In the following days, Doc Ock sent letters to Electro, who was going through therapy at Ravencroft. He convinced Electro to break him and the other members of the Sinister Six out of Ryker's Island to fight Spider-Man. Doc Ock showed an interest in Spider-Man's symbiote costume during the final battle at Central Park. Spider-Man's symbiote costume started to take control of Spider-Man and if it weren't for the intervention of Captain George Stacy, Doctor Octopus wouldn't have survived the battle.

He is later incarcerated at Ravencroft Asylum, alongside Electro. When Kraven comes to break both of them out, Octavius is seemingly cured, and regretful of his criminal past. Under the orders of the Master Planner, Tinkerer manipulates Octopus's tentacles to break out the apparently terrified doctor.

Doctor Octopus turns out to be the Master Planner himself, hiding in plain sight while he lets his minions prepare for his master plan. He orchestrates Gwen Stacy's kidnapping at the hands of Vulture and Electro, in order to manipulate George Stacy to obtain the secret codes from Homeland Security. His plans were interrupted after Spider-Man found his hideout. Upon being defeated, Doctor Octopus initiated the self-destruct sequence in his base and got away, though he is mentioned by his Master Planner alias in the following episode, seemingly having loaned the use of Sandman to the Big Man in exchange for a cut of his current job.

Doctor Octopus, now representing the increasingly-growing supervillain faction of New York's crime, attended the bidding for the Rhino chip, but curiously made no bid. It was later revealed he was more interested in its destruction (no doubt so he could continue to remain the only one to hire out Supervillains), and showed Rhino about the chip, manipulating him to destroy it when Roderick Kingsley wins the bid.

Later, Doctor Octopus went to the Valentine's Day summit to decide the crime scene in New York, accomponied by the Vulture. However, Octopus, along with Tombstone and Silvermane, were betrayed by Hammerhead, starting a three-way fight. Octopus fought Tombstone and Silvermane until the fight was broken up by the arrival of Spider-Man, who managed to defeat Octopus by knocking him out and stealing his power battery so his arms wouldn't work. Both him, Silvermane and Tombstone were taken to jail.

Dmitri Kravinoff/Chameleon

Dmitri Kravinoff (codename the Chameleon) an international spy-for-hire and master of disguise, the Chameleon and his partners Quentin Beck and Phineas Mason were hired by a mysterious person to steal the alien symbiote from Dr. Connors' lab. After failing that mission, Chameleon began to frame Spider-Man for crimes until the combined forces of Spider-Man and Black Cat defeated them. Beck and Mason were arrested, but Chameleon disguised himself as the policeman Stan Carter and escaped.

He also impersonated Norman Osborn, unwittingly giving the billionaire an alibi when on the night of his infiltration, the Green Goblin appeared. Impressed and amused with the idea, Norman later recruits the Chameleon to impersonate his civilian alter-ego full time as a means to keep Spider-Man off-balance. He is betrayed by his over-acting when he apologizes in front of his 'son'... who knows that Norman Osborn never apologizes, and unmasks him. He promptly escapes in a parachute.

Quentin Beck/Mysterio

Beck was originally one of the Chameleon's partners in crime. He is described by the Chameleon as being a master of special effects and illusions. He is arrested along with Phineas Mason at the end of the episodes while Chameleon escapes.

Beck becomes Mysterio in "Blueprints." He robs various technologies (ranging from technology that was to be shipped to the labs at ESU, an armored car, TriCorp, and OsCorp) using his illusions while claiming to be a sorcerer. Spider-Man followed him to his hideout and his cold gave him away when trying to find out Mysterio's identity. Spider-Man used a web blindfold to let his Spider Senses tell him which is real and which is not. Mysterio then summon robotic duplicates of himself to attack Spider-Man. However, Spider-Man handily defeats the majority, then deactivates the other with Mysterio's remote control glove, breaking it.

Mysterio unmasks himself upon his defeat, but finds to his frustration that Spider-Man barely remembers who he is, he had to recap that he was Chameleon's henchman before Spider-Man restrains him. However, it turned out to be another android as the real Mysterio was hiding during the conflict. After the cops leave, Tinkerer talks to Mysterio about the design to his android to make it look like him. Beck tells him that he holds the trademark to that name, and is outraged at the idea of someone else taking the credit for being Mysterio. It is revealed that they worked for the Master Planner.

At Ryker's Island, the guard discovered that the Quentin Beck they have is an android after they found an illusion of Vulture (his cellmate, apparently). Mysterio joins the new Sinister Six under the orders of Master Planner. He and Kraven the Hunter battle in a mall where a Mysterio duplicate accidently takes out Kraven. He attempts to escape by turning invsible, but a webbing net over the floor pinpoints his location. Spider-Man ensures this isn't another android double and tried to get answers on who the Master Planner is, but Beck was close lipped (or quite possibly, didn't know himself). Mysterio was seemingly arrested while the other villains were extracted at the last minute, though it was later revealed the Mysterio arrested was another robot.

An imprisoned, robotic Beck is later interviewed by Ned Lee. He expressed some doubts that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, but stated in no uncertain terms he and the other inmates at Ryker's would know exactly what to do with that information if it was true, which he hoped was.

The robotic Beck was 'unmasked' by his cellmate Montana during Spider-Man's imprisonment in the Vault, and proceeded to unleash his customary attacks against Spider-Man, before being fried by a a misfired fireball thrown by the Molten Man.

Phineas Mason/Terrible Tinkerer

Along with Quentin Beck, Phineas Mason is one of the Chameleon's partners in crime. He is a master of technology. Mason and Beck were arrested while the Chameleon escaped.

He appears again in the episode "Blueprints" under the alias of the Tinkerer. He designed Mysterio's gear and devices. Following Spider-Man taking out his clones, Mysterio talks with the Tinkerer who asks why he made the android look like him. Tinkerer contacts Master Planner telling him that everything Mysterio stole has not been found in the warehouse that he was hiding in.

Tinkerer later oversaw the formation of the Sinister Six and reported that they weren't able to get Doctor Octopus to join them. As Mysterio was arrested, Tinkerer had the other bad guys extracted at the last minute.

Tinkerer was with Doctor Octopus when he launched his master plan. He was with Electro when Vulture made off with Gwen Stacy. After stopping the truck, Spider-Man interrogated Tinkerer on where Vulture took Gwen Stacy. Tinkerer would not reveal Doc Ock's whereabouts, so in order to get the information, Spider-Man kept throwing him off the building and catching him. He escaped after he interrogated him.

Tinkerer later created the power suits that Fancy Dan and Ox wore for use as the New Enforcers.

Sergei Kravinoff/Kraven the Hunter

Determined to hunt Spider-Man, Kravinoff first appeared in the season 2 episode "Destructive Testing", garbed in a lion-themed vest similar to his comic book counterpart. He is the most skilled hunter in the known world, relying only on his natural talents to subdue his prey. He arrives in New York with Calypso and his pet lion (who was trained to track anything) with the express purpose of hunting Spider-Man, whom he regards as prey truly worthy of his talents. However, following his first defeat at the hands of Spider-Man, he becomes convinced that the only reason he lost was due to Spider-Man's genetically altered physiology. As such, he enlists the aid of Professor Miles Warren in securing powers of his own. Using a serum concocted from Warren's own research (and based on Curt Connors' own Lizard formula), he is then mutated into a human-feline hybrid, with elements of leopard, cheetah, and lion DNA and took the name Kraven the Hunter. After the second defeat, Calypso rescues him on behalf of the Master Planner who asks Kraven if he would like to hunt in a pack.

This does come true as Master Planner sends Kraven the Hunter to spring Electro and Doctor Octopus from Ravencroft. He wasn't able to get Doctor Octopus to come with him. As a member of the Sinister Six, Kraven and Mysterio lured Spider-Man to them with illusions of Doctor Octopus and Shocker. When their fight ended up at the mall, Kraven the Hunter was knocked out by the exploding Mysterio duplicate and was webbed down by Spider-Man. Master Planner had Kraven extracted at the last minute and he apparently continued to work for him.

In episode "Gangland" Doctor Octopus tried to call him for backup but the Green Goblin jammed everyone's signals.

Sable Manfredi/Silver Sable

Sable Manfredi is the daughter of Silvio Manfredi, the crime lord known as Silvermane, and takes the name of Silver Sable. She was once in a relationship with Hammerhead, when he used to work for her father. Ever since her father's imprisonment, she operates his declining empire. Silver Sable participates in the bid for the Rhino chip, alongside her ex Hammerhead, Dr. Octopus, Patch, and Roderick Kingsley. However, she later attacks Kingsley after he wins the bid, and when Rhino and Spider-Man interfere, she reluctantly teams up with Hammerhead to defeat them. Silver Sable is defeated, but she escapes.

Later she attends the Valetine Day's summit with her father to decide the crime scene in New York, but Hammerhead tranquilizes her, making her unconscious, and blames it on Tombstone, starting a three-way fight between Tombstone, Doctor Octopus and Silvermane. She later wakes up and is greeted by Hammerhead, who tells her she has to be nice to him, leaving her trembling as he leaves. She manages to escape once again, leaving her father to be arrested by the police.

Silvio Manfredi/Silvermane

Silvermane is a rival crime lord in New York to Hammerhead, Tombstone and Dr. Octopus. He was arrested and jailed 12 years ago after Frederick Foswell exposed him as a crime lord. After only being mentioned in "Accomplices", in "Gangland", he finally makes his appearance, and appears at the Valentine's Day summit to discuss the status of the New York crime scene. However, everyone at the summit is betrayed by Hammerhead, and after Sable is tranquilized, Silvermane joins the fight by putting on a robotic suit that increases his strength and fires energy blasts. However, he is defeated when Spider-Man joins the fight and realizes his suit is powered by hydraulics, and proceeds to weaken the suit so it cannot work. Silvermane is taken into police custody. In "Opening Night," Silvermane was seen as an inmate of the Vault who was among the prisoners released by the Green Goblin. He rounds up the Enforcers, a robot duplicate of Mysterio, and other prisoners to take down Spider-Man. But he is locked in the prison when the Black Cat's father releases the gas in the Vault.

Minor Characters

Jean DeWolff

Jean is police officer for the New York City Police Department partnered with Stan Carter. Unlike Captain Stacy and Stan, She does not consider Spider-Man as much help as most of the criminals he captures wind up being released (of course, this was before Spider-Man started fighting super villains).

Stan Carter

Stan is a New York City police officer partnered with Jean DeWolff. He has a short temper, evident when he yelled at Max Dillon after he refused to return to the hospital. He has shown an appreciation of Spider-Man's vigilantism, even quarantining the area where Spider-Man and Sandman were fighting. Later he takes out Rhino with a smoke gun before getting away, and his vigilante support for Spidey takes a dark turn when he mentions that in his fights against supervillains, he "has not gone far enough".

Billy Connors

Billy is the son of Curt and Martha Connors. In "Natural Selection," Billy is seen reading up on lizards. When Martha realizes that Curt's lizard DNA formula (originally designed to recreate his lost right arm) is starting to take over him, she sends him off to the other room to prevent him from finding out, but Billy ends up witnessing his father's transformation into the Lizard anyway. Worried that his dad's transformation would make him forget about him, Billy follows the Lizard, Eddie, and Spider-Man to the zoo where he tries to appeal to the human in him. Although this tactic didn't work, it provided Spider-Man the necessary distraction to force feed the Lizard the gene cleanser that changed him back to Curt Conners.

In "Final Curtain," Billy moves with his family to Florida, as Miles Warren had taken over the ESU lab by blackmailing Curt with the knowledge that he had been the Lizard.

Billy appears to be roughly 11 in the series, give or take a year.

Dr. Bromwell

Dr. Bromwell is a doctor at the New York City Emergency Hospital. He created the insulation suit that Max Dillon was forced to wear after being transformed into Electro after an accident. Bromwell later treated May after her heart attack and stayed with the Parker family for Thanksgiving dinner after giving May a ride home from the hospital. He also visited Aunt May at home and said he is surprised that she didn't have anything to do for Valetine's day. This may show that he has romantic interest in her.

Dr. Ashley Kafka

Dr. Kafka is a psychiatrist at Ravencroft. She administered Electro's therapy lessons and gave him a clean bill of health and allowed his to return to society, unaware he deceived her. She also gives therapy lessons to Dr. Octopus and Cletus Kasady, and attempts to defend the seemingly cured Octavius when Kraven tries to break him out.

Dr. Ted Twaki

Dr. Twaki is the head scientist of Tri-Corp who appears in the episode "Reaction".

Mayor Waters

Waters is mayor of New York City with hopes of reelection.

She was a victim of the Chameleon disguised as Spider-Man robbery and believed, like most, that Spider-Man has truly turned to crime. The Chameleon failed to steal anything from the gala on the ship, but Black Cat managed to steal Waters' tiger necklace.

In "The Invisible Hand", she was seen in several photos with Tombstone.

Dillbert Trilby

He is a newscaster who reported on the shuttle that John Jameson piloted.

Crusher Hogan

Crusher Hogan was the wrestler that Peter Parker as Spider-Man faced as seen in a flashback accessed by the symbiote suit. Spider-Man easily beat him in a wrestling match.

Debra Whitman

Calypso Enzili

Calypso is Sergei's partner and lover. Presenting him with photos sent by an anonymous friend of Kraven's desired ultimate prey, Spider-Man.

She travels with Kraven to New York, and rescues him after his second defeat by Spider-Man, revealing their friend is that of The Master Planner.

Blackie Gaxton

  • Voice Actor: Steve Blum

Blackie Gaxton is the manager and bookie in the Big Sky Lounge. Something of a go-to man in the criminal underworld, several criminals point Spider-Man towards him during his trouble with the Master Planner. At first unwilling to speak, confident Spider-Man wouldn't do anything troublesome, he realized the presence of the hero would dampen his illicit activities, and reluctantly handed over the information he could.

Gaxton is revealed to be an associate of Tombstone, and asks him for help during the Valentines Day Summit, but the signal is jammed by the Green Goblin.

As a bookie, Gaxton helped arrange bets with Mark Allan. When the Green Goblin becomes the new Big Man of crime, Gaxton becomes his lieutenant (saying he's been a bookie long enough to know a winner when he sees one), and offers Mark to the Goblin in experiments in exchange for paying for his debts. Mark, now Molten Man, attacks Spider-Man in the Sky Lounge and burns down the bar with Gaxton inside, but he is saved by Spider-Man (reluctantly).

Donald Menken

Donald Menken is a loyal employee of Norman Osborn and makes his first appearance in the season 2 episode "Blueprints". He returns in "Shear Strength", when he, Norman and Morris Bench are almost caught in an explosion initiated by the Master Planner/Doctor Octopus, but are saved by Spider-Man.

Later in "Accomplices", he holds a bid on behalf of Norman for the Rhino Supersoldier chip, and the bidders include Hammerhead (on behalf of Tombstone), Silver Sable (on behalf of Silvermane), Dr. Octopus, Patch, and Roderick Kingsley.

In "Final Curtain", Menken is framed by the Green Goblin, and is suspected by Spider-Man and Harry Osborn, until it is revealed that the real Goblin was Norman.

Joan Jameson

In the episode "Gangland," J. Jonah Jameson was forced to take his wife to an opera show which was disrupted by Spider-Man's battle with Tombstone, Doctor Octopus, and Silvermane.
