Rachael Wooding is a Yorkshire born musical theatre performer, best known for her performances in We Will Rock You (musical), playing Meat and understudying Jenna Lee-James as Scaramouche. She most recently played Amber in the original London cast of Hairspray the Musical. Wooding left Hairspray in October 2008. she is currently performing the title role in Evita the Musical on the UK tour.

Wooding is a 5' 4" Mezzo-soprano. She is 29. [2]
She was slated to play Elle Woods in the prospective 2009 production of Legally Blonde The Musical, as stated on her facebook page, but the role was given to Sheridan Smith[2]

Wooding trained at the Bird College of performing arts[3], and has been in musicals from a young age.

'Dinah the Dining Car' and 'Pearl the Observation Car' in the German production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express.
'Serena' in Fame (West End debut).

'AJ' in Loveshack.
'Annette' in Saturday Night Fever (first West End leading role).
'Meat' in We Will Rock You.
'Amber' in Hairspray (Original London Cast).
