Kotra is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jalaun district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Kotra is located at 25.82°N 79.32°E / 25.82; 79.32. It has an average elevation of 136 metres (446 feet).Kotra is near betwa river.Favour sweet of kotra is called "Palangtod".Todays population is more than 10000 but lots of people are poor because they don't have work so many people leave kotra & they are living in gujrat, bombay,delhi,kanpur,orai,jhansi.Only one roadways bus is there which comes only once in a day that goes to orai.
