Marlene Kratz was a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Moya O'Sullivan. She first appeared in 1994 and remained in the show until 1997 when the character went on a three month cruise but never returned. She was an elderly lady who owned a bric-a-brac store and was obsessed with Elvis Presley, to the extent that she named a stray cat Colonel Parker. In 2005, Marlene made a cameo in Annalise Hartman's documentary about Ramsay Street where it was revealed she was still sailing the seas. The Neighbours 20th Anniversary book revealed that Marlene had married the captain of the Cruise ship. Many fans, most notably Jack McGilley from Bognor Regis near Cornwall, are still hoping to see her return to Ramsay Street at some point in the future.
