WELCOME from a Article Rescue Squad member

Welcome to Article Rescue Squadron TomCat4680, a dynamic list of articles needing to be rescued, which changes with new updates, can be found here:

I look forward to working with you in the future. Ikip (talk) 07:00, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looking forward to working with you Tom, if you have any questions, or need any help, don't hesitate to ask. This is not an flipant statement either. I really enjoy helping other editors. Best wishes. Ikip (talk) 07:00, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiThanks
WikiThanks

Thank you sooooo much for your support. It is so hard some days to stay upbeat. As you can see, there is a quite frankly a lot of opposition to what article rescue squadron attempts to accomplish. Warm, kind messages like yours are the reason I keep editing on wikipedia. I can't express how much that small act of kindness meant to me, as I actively fight yet another Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, the second one this week. I am really glad I met you today, please keep in touch. Ikip (talk) 07:59, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another munch

You're welcome of course. I spotted him/her when vandalism started appearing on The Rambling Man (talk · contribs). Camaron | Chris (talk) 20:43, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Drive-in theaters in Michigan

If you want to get technical, I should inform you that the Michigan open drive in theater listing shows the Capri Drive-in Theatre in Coldwater even though it is two miles west of the Coldwater City limits. The Cherry Bowl DI is west of Honor, the Five-Mile Drive-in is north of Dowagiac, the Hi-Way Drive-in is between Carsonville and Sandusky and the Sunset DI is between Watervliet and Hartford. So none of those drive-ins are listed as in the cities listed as well. Please make the listings consistent. Steelbeard1 (talk) 19:22, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lets just say both for clarification. Roger & Me clearly states that the city of Flint hasn't had an active theater since the Capitol closed in the early 80's. TomCat4680 (talk) 19:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then be consistent and note the political jurisdiction locations of all the other Michigan drive-in theaters. Until then, the mailing address city is the only city to use. Steelbeard1 (talk) 19:28, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay just say near Flint then. Its not IN Flint, I just want to fix the misnomer. TomCat4680 (talk) 19:29, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Only if the other drive-in locations outside city limits are so noted as well. Steelbeard1 (talk) 19:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fine I'm all for that. Which tag should I use, copyedit? I think Michael Moore mentioning the fact that the City of Flint (excluding its suburbs a.k.a Genesee County or Greater Flint) hasn't had a theater in over 30 years is a pretty reliable source. TomCat4680 (talk) 19:37, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for numerical list

I have been looking for this off and on for years. THANK YOU. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.88.160.169 (talk) 19:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of what? Be more specific please. TomCat4680 (talk) 19:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DTV transition Talk page; and thanks for an idea

Now that that big thread has disappeared to the archives, I've switched Talk:DTV transition in the United States back to a 14-day timeout. I think what happened was that MitzaBot looks for the latest-dated post in a thread, and doesn't consider a level-4 subheading as breaking up a thread.

Meanwhile, seeing your talk page was my first introduction to WikiLove food. This gave me an idea...

So here's some fried chicken for you:

And now you can munch on it with User:Ken g6/MunchChicken!

Thanks! — Ken g6 (talk) 18:59, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hope Channel on DirecTV

Hi I was wondering what kind of receiver do you have as I don't get this channel and not everyone will get it so there must be a way to put it in the line up. Thanks Mu69 (talk) 04:16, 3 May 2009 (UTC)MU69 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mu69 (talkcontribs) 04:11, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have an HR22 ("DirecTV Plus HD DVR"). I don't know why you're not getting it. Calling 1-800-DIRECTV and ask them. TomCat4680 (talk) 10:38, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I don't get it because I have a standard receiver in both rooms of my place, I did call them and they told me this channel broadcasts in Standard Definition D12 but is only available to people that have a Directv DVR or what you have. It is ok, I am not a seven day adventist, It is ok. Mu69 (talk) 05:08, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
