Media in Taiwan

Is the article about the media in the Republic of China (ROC), or specifically the media in Taiwan? Thank you. — Instantnood 23:26, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there

Hi Taiwantaffy, interesting to find someone who's been to Saudi as well and now lives in Taiwan & not being from there originally. Drop me a line sometime; I'd live to exchange our experiences on Saudi and Taiwan.

User:achou79 8:58, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for reminding me about Forumosa. I visited the forum once but never registered; I have now and sent you a message. Alan 23:48 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Hello Taiwantaffy, I'd say I find the romanization hilarious. You just don't use latin alphabet to spell out a chinese character, unless you're a foreigner learning the language, which romanization helps out a lot. BlueShirts 02:41, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to add some examples of Taiwanese Mandarin when I get a chance this weekend. BlueShirts 23:05, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have an article up for Featured Article here [1], please go take a look and provide some input, thank you. BlueShirts 01:42, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hello, do you think we need to improve anything besides the title? On the FAC page you can also vote either support or oppose or comment, thanks. BlueShirts 01:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Taiwantaffy. I've left a note on Bonafide.hustla's page about the recent disagreements on Chao Chien-ming. Btw I happened to notice you have an e-mail link in your sig, but your e-mail actually isn't enabled. (I expect it was, but all the e-mails seem to have gotten un-abled in a wikimedia upgrade a while back. Or something.) Bishonen | talk 10:13, 16 July 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Problems with upload of Image:Carstairs Douglas.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Carstairs Douglas.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:11, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of S-line/TRTS left/Yellow

A tag has been placed on S-line/TRTS left/Yellow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CiTrusD Talk here! 10:28, 7 July 2008 (UTC) [reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:S-line/TRTS left/Yellow (TRTS), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Notability of Fuzhong Station

A tag has been placed on Fuzhong Station requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Benjaminx (talk) 03:04, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

too short

:nice idea for the island article but 1500 characters of text at least and at least one inline ref on the main fact. Lots of refs and much more than 1500 characters are better. Don't give up! but surprised that this is not your first nomination Victuallers (talk) 18:43, 14 September 2008 (UTC) <-- who wrote this? Me?? ... apologies. You were correct I had clicked on the wrong article. I have approved it for use. Victuallers (talk) 07:33, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
