Series Synopsis
The series synopsis seems a little bit...I dunno...off subject. The main focus of the series is Casey - it's always been that way and I've watched every single aired episode. It seems odd that since Casey is the series' main focus, that the synopsis would center around Derek. I feel this should be rewritten to be more in line about what they series is actually about. - I disagree. The show focuses on both Derek and Casey, and simply uses Casey more often in order to move the plot along. The show relies on both characters and since Casey's 'problems' revolve predominantly around Derek, it is clearly relevant to discuss Derek in the synopsis. If you believe that you can add information on Casey while respecting Derek's importance to the show, go ahead. -- Chabuk 05:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- The show is called 'Life WITH Derek', not 'Derek's Life'. That itself is enough to imply that the show is about Casey dealing with Derek and how she feels he screws everything up for her (i.e. Casey's 'problems' with Derek) -- and not the other way around (i.e. Derek's problems with Casey; which would be called, 'Life with Casey'). In addition, Casey is also the only narrator and only one to speak directly to the camera. The show's primary focus is clearly on Casey, and how she copes with 'Life With Derek'. The Synopsis should be written from, and only from, Casey's POV. vmz 16:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with the people who think the show centers around Casey. I overhauled the entire synopsis and tried to make it encompass the entirety of the show. What do you all think? (I was 67.41.225.226 ) Wayc 02:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I JUST LOVE THAT SHOW!

Setting
The show must not take place in the United States because in "The Guest", Casey pays off Derek with non-American money, in "The Poxfather", Derek's money tin is full of multi-colored money and in "All Systems No Go," George calls himself "George of London."
Isn't the show be supposed to take place in Toronto, or at least Canada? Or am I wrong? 72.141.21.47 23:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it takes place in Canada. It isn't an American show, its Canadian. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
The show is filmed in Toronto, but it is set in London, Ontario. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.177.134.65 (talk) 15:21, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
It was filmed in Newfoundland for the first season, then moved to Toronto for second and third. The show does take place in London, Ontario. I wonder what part of London they would live in with exterier shots of their house. MechaKnight (talk) 06:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Families
"the fact that two families move together, with just males and just females from each family." this isn't exactly true, since the father George has a daughter (Marti) as well as the two sons. 69.195.223.49 00:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree.
Someone wrote a a very opinionated description of Casey.
Well, someone just got this show confused with the Brady Bunch. WAVY 10
Table
The table with the season two episodes seems messed up, putting the trivia and season two changes in a column next to it... I don't know how to fix this. o.o;; 68.171.240.254 01:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Relatives
I changed the "Distant" in Relatives considering an aunt, a cousin, and (most likely) MOTHER aren't exactly distant relatives. Timekeeper 20:28, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

episode list
I made a new article for the life with derek episodes. --As man cool 21:46, 2 October 2006 (UTC)As_man_cool
Don't know if that was the greatest idea but anyway it seems like it'll be fine for now. But, I wouldn't have suggested you doing that since there's not a lot of episodes liosted, thus far, which makes it kinda redundant to do that but it seems, for now, to be for the better so I'm not complaining. Thanks for your contribution. Knuckles sonic8 21:57, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
XBOX
Does that reference even need to be here? WAVY 10
Yes, infact it does. This is crucial to have. I first noticed it when Casey said " This is so confusing. The green button, then the red button and the black button. Al buttons on the XBOX controller oh, i only posted that its the system Derek plays, i never added they all at least played it once someone else did! Ace Fighter.

Rewrite for Casey's Article?
Would anyone support me about putting a Rewrite tage for the article about Casey? People are saying it has a negative tone about her. Ace Fighter 22:22, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- I would Ace Fighter. WillSWC 01:04, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Paul "Creepy"
In the first episode of Life With Derek,Paul says his name is Paul GREEBY,but Casey misheard him and thought it weas Paul Creepy,so he told her to just call him Paul. So,I'm not a member of this website,so I'm asking anyone if they can edit this article,re-name the "Paul Creepy" article, and redict "Paul Creepy" to "Paul Greeby" Thanks.
You don't have to be a member to edit the articles. Jrdaigle1000 17:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Fanfic assualt
About this entry in the trivia section:
- "*Many people are 'Dasey' shippers, thinking that- despite the fact that they are stepsiblings- Casey and Derek would make a good couple. Same with 'Lizwin' (Lizzie and Edwin) shippers."
My opinion about this kind of thing is summed up in three words: Ignore the fanboys/fangirls. WAVY 10 17:43, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it would be ENTIRLEY wise to 'ignore' these people...but I also think it has nothing to do with the actual show.
MacDonald or McDonald?
- Some confusion centers around the spelling of Nora, Casey and Lizzie's last name. It is in fact "McDonald" and not "MacDonald" as confirmed in the episodes "two timing Derek" and "Grade A Cheater." please update this in all articles.
- But it is listed as "MacDonald" in the show credits. thinkpad 13:42, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
* As well as on the family channel mini site for the show.
Restart soon?
In "Premiere", there's a sentence that says " Naturally, Sadie was taken off air and replaced by Life With Derek, 'but will restart soon." What does it mean by "but will restart soon"? Is that stating that Naturally, Sadie will restart? I haven't found any evidence to that, so I deleted the phrase "but will restart soon". If I am mistaken, please correct me and re-write that fact, but if possible, clarify the meaning.
Minor character section
The following should be deleted:
Alex House as Trevor, a "punk" boy who goes to Casey's school. Derek bets Casey she can't get him to ask her out, and Casey takes the bet, soon developing a crush on him. She loses the bet after she finds out Trevor was only hanging out with her because he had a crush on Emily.
That character has only appeared once and it was a guest star, and that character has not been mentioned again as he has no relevance to any other episode.

will there be one cause it says production is still going but they are going to college? --gdaly7 (talk) 19:06, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
