Brendan Courtney (born 24June, 1972, Clondalkin, Dublin) is an Irish comedian and television presenter. He is openly homosexual. He has been linked with famous Irish syncronized swimmer Caroline Walsh. The pair broke up after Courtney discovered his true sexuality. The pair are still friends.

Career

His most successful shows include RTÉ Two's Wanderlust and ITV1's Love Match UK. Courtney was the main developer of the idea of Wanderlust. He previously hosted The Brendan Courtney show, a prime time talk show on Ireland's TV3.[1]

In October 2006, Courtney became the presenter on ITV2's late night dating show Playdate.

As of 2005, Brendan Courney has been hosting Discovery Home and Health's Wedding extravaganza "Weddings Live" alongside Sarah Greene of Blue Peter fame. As of Autumn 2008, he co-hosts RTÉ One's Off The Rails.[2]
