Introduction

Chicago artist Bobby Conn genre-defying brand of pop-rock has given him a cult status. VH1, failing to understand its irony, voted "Never Get Ahead" the Worst Video Of All Time. He often collaborates with other way-out midwestern artists like musicians Colby Stark and Jim O'Rourke, and film-maker Usama Alshaibi.

A self-professed 'antichrist', Bobby Conn's is notorious within the music world for claiming to have cut off his ring finger in an attempt to highlight his opposition to marriage. On hearing the rumours Bobby Conn started playing gigs with his ring finger strapped up out of sight to fuel the stories. After spending a period of time in jail for fraud, Conn came up with the economic theory known as the 'Continuous Cash Flow System', in which the focus is to spend, rather than earn, as much as possible. In order to promote this mode of thought he has been known to hand out thousands of $20 bills to audience members.

His disography includes: Bobby Conn (1997) Rise Up! (1998) Llovessonngs (1999) The Golden Age (2001) Homeland (2004) Live Classics (2005)
