The Samsung F480 or Tocco was announced on February 2008 and released in May 2008 by Samsung Mobile [1].
The Tocco is available on Orange, T-Mobile and O2 for pay monthly but no pay as you go version is available yet. Sim free models are also available. It comes in three colours which are standard black, pink or gold. It carries on the recent change in design of Samsung phones by using a 2.8 inch HAPTIC TFT touch screen which is made up of 262K colours.
It features full mobile internet using 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbit/s which uses a WAP 2.0 browser and makes use of MIDP 2.0 as its Java support platform.
Other features of this phone is its 5 megapixel camera and video recorder with features such as; smile mode, face recognition, auto focus and 4x digital zoom. You can also edit photos and videos as well as adding effects to your photos. It also contains music recognition software. Its memory can also boosted up to 16 GB depending on which firmware version as the 16 GB Micro SD cards are quite recent.
