Big Red (gum)

Big Red is a cinnamon-flavoured chewing gum made by the William Wrigley Jr. Company. Big Red was available in the UK & Ireland in the mid-to-late 1990s, but is no longer available there ^{[citation needed]}.It is a very popular souvenir for visitors to the US from Ireland or the UK.^{[citation needed]} Big Red was also released in 2004 in Australia, but was soon discontinued. Some specialty sweets shops however, do still stock it. It was re-released again in late 2007. It is also available in parts of Sweden, the gum sold in Sweden is not red but white. Big Red is also available in Germany in a red for over 10 years.

Like its sister product, Juicy Fruit, Big Red also had its own jingle, which was used from 1979 to 1998. It was sung by Ryan Devereaux. Many of the commercials depicted couples passionately kissing in a romantic setting, which would later be parodied by a number of TV shows, including Saturday Night Live.

In August 2008, Wrigley teamed with popular singer-songwriter, Ne-Yo, to update the classic jingle.

Burn Yourself

Take the wrapper of Big Red and lick it. Then press it on preferably your forehead, but anywhere else is fine. It will then start to feel stingy.
