Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann (known simply as Betiyann) is a Hindi language television drama-series that airs on Zee TV.

Plot

Suryakant Garodia is a respected businessman whose family indulges in the business of making traditional Gujarati 'bandhanis' and his family has been doing this for the past four generations because of this reason he is one of the most respected and richest individuals of the area for him it is just not a business but matter of pride.

Kajri manages to create misunderstandings Niyati-Yuvraj, and schemes further to get her out of Yuvraj's life for good. Laxmi is brought home to the Garodia Nivas, and Karan's mom leaves Rajpipla to go live with her sister in Jalandhar. B4 she leaves she tells Laxmi abt how disturbed Karan was abt something regarding her family. The police makes a shocking revelation that Karan's death was not an accident but murder and breaks this news to the family. All this leaves Laxmi wondering who cud've done it. Her suspicions turns towards Rasik-Menka when she overhears them talking about a secret and she shares this with Saraswati-Kshitij. The team up together to find the truth and end up exposing Rasik.

He's sent to jail, but not before revealing Menka's secret. She's kicked out of Garodia house, but Savitri brings her back for Yuvraj's sake even though nobody in the family including Sav are ready to forgive her. Lakshmi goes to live with Durga. On the way she finds a boy named Rohan about her age, but mentally ill who has the brain of a 5 year old. Finds out he is the son of the woman who helped her take Karan to the hospital when he got into the accident. She has an evil brother and her son is scared of his whip.

Then Lakshmi marries Rohan in order to save him from his evil mama and mami so they don't take away his property or give him anymore pain.The goradia's r shocked at first but once lakshmi told them they were very proud of their daughter.

Rohan's mama-mami concuct a plan to give slow poison to Laxmi but it fails. It turns out that Laxmi is pregnant with Karan's child, and mama-mami try using that to their advantage but fail again. This time Surya intervenes and gets court orders against them, reliquishing them of all rights to the property, and sends them to jail. They return back to Rajpipla with Laxmi and Rohan. The family are shocked to learn about Laxmi and Rohan's marriage, but Surya explains everything to them. The family at first try to hide Jhumki from Laxmi, but she ends up finding out about her. Jhumki finds an opportunity to seduce Kshitij when the family is away, but she is caught and is kicked out.

Recently, Suryakant and Kshitij go to Bombay to find out where Meneka's daughter is. There they see her in a dark alley where all the dancers are and sees that she is a dancer(kotha walli). She tells Surykant that her uncle named Rasik sold her to the owner of the kotha and that she is now used to working for the woman in the kotha.She tell her name is jhumki.One day kajri brings her to the Garodia house.jhumki revealed who she was. Everyone was shocked.

Kajri wanted Jhumki to team up with her and ruin the whole family because Kajri feels Jhumki can be a big help.Jhumki refuses to join her.

Suryakant proposes Gauri to one of his friend's son.The family agrees and comes to the goradia mansion to see Gauri.The family comes and they accept Gauri.Then all of a sudden Jhumki comes downstairs in very good clothes which shocks Kajri and the family.Then all of sudden Jhumki comes downstairs and starts acting like herself,she even reveals that her profession is dancing at a kotha.The boy's family is shocked that the daughtor of such a respected man is dancer and they immediately refuse the propasal and leave.Kajri gets really happy and is amazed how smart Jhumki is.Gauri gets very sad but has no complaints against Jhumki.

Eventually Jhumki lost her bad ways and helped the sisters and niyati to make kajri reveal that she killed niyati's baby. Now Kajri has a baby boy named Naman and they all find out that it was kajri who planned niyati's accident so she is kicked out of the house with rasili bhai.She didn't give Naman back to Yuvraj. Kajri was going to go back to the kotha but rasili refuses because if they went there Yuvraj will never accept her so she moves to a homeless sheltar. The Garodia family comes to the sheltar to take Naman back,but Kajri says that she will not give Naman back unless they take Kajri and Rasili with them.Suryakant refuses. Now Jhumki's name is changed to Jhanvi.

Savitri meets a man who can help her find a match for Gauri that man comes to the garodia housed to get a picture of Gauri Menaka really wants Janvi to get married too so she gives her picture too the man too a few days later the man calls Savitri to tell her that there is a family that accepts the proposal due to bad phone connections Savitri had to cut the phone and couldn't ask if they accepted Gauri or Janvi Savitri tells the goradia family that someone accepted the propasal for Gauri rhe next day the family prepares for the family's arrival Gauri pours tea and by mistake she spills it so Jhanvi said that she will carry it then the boy's family arrives Jhanvi serves the family because Gauri's hand is burned then the boy's mom askes if he likes the girl and he says yes Gauri gets very happy then everyone eats sweets then the boy's mom says I would like to give my daughter-in-law these bangles Suryakant accepts then the boy's mom stands up and gives the bangles to Janvi Gauri and the whole garodia family is shocked even Jhanvi.

Jhanvi and Siddharth have a good relationship. Everyone is happy with it except for Gauri, she smells something fishy. She and Meneka talk about Jhanvi's relationship and Gauri finds out that Meneka had lied to Jhanvi. Once Jhanvi and Siddharth have spent some time together, Jhanvi is ready to marry him until Gauri tells her the truth. Jhanvi is shattered. Jhanvi decides to write a note and gives it to Gauri to give it to Siddharth. Once the engagement happens Jhanvi is very nervous on how Siddharth's reaction will be. During their engagement Kajri and Rasili get a dancer who knows Jhanvi and dances during the party. Jhanvi sees her and gets nervous. She sees Jhanvi and reveals the truth about her that she is a kothewali. Siddharth found out about this and gets mad at her. Suryakant found out that this is all Meneka's plan. Jhanvi is heartbroken. The next day Siddharth comes back and returns the ring to Jhanvi. The whole family is mad at Meneka for ruining Jhanvi's relationship.

At the same time Yuvraj is meeting Kajri secretly because Kajri is tricking Yuvraj to think that Naman is very sick. she pokes yuvraj that Suryakanth doesn't like him or naman and he starts believing her.Suryakant figures out that yuvraj is helping kajri and she is trapping his son and becomes angry. he even warns her but she even more plots against him. yuvraj shifts kajri, naman and rasili bai to a small nicely furnished home by spending the money meant for the purchase of new material for a big consignment of the company. rasili tells yuvraj to use a cheap material instead of the good material for the consignment. he uses that and sends the consignment. the consumer company comes to know of this fraud and comes to home and humiliates suryakant. suryakant knows all this was because of kajri. and he decides to change will and give all property to his daughters. yuvraj overhears this and feels very bad.

Now Kajri told Yuvraj to kill Suryakant in two days before the will is changed or else she will leave the town forever with Naman. Yuvraj accepts Kajri's plan of killing his father. Yuvraj and Kajri take Suryakant to the ocean on a boat. Suryakant slips and holds onto the side of the boat. Yuvraj helps Suryakant at first but then he lets him fall into the water instead of helping him. Now saraswati, savitri and Kshitj and Yuvraj went looking for him and found hes dead. They are now devastated.it came out that suryakant already gave all his propertly to his daughters and they are all shocked because their father used to like yuvraaj the most and he didn't get anything. kajri is really mad about that and makes up a new plan to get the property back to yuvraaj. yuvraaj listens to her and pretends to be really sad and doesn't go to office because it is his sisters office and not his own. saraswati feels really bad about yuvraaj and convinces everyone to give their property to yuvraaj.everyone agrees and on the day where saraswati signed the letter to give all the property to yuvraaj, baa overhears kajris plan of taking suryakants property and using yuvraaj to get it. suryakants mother was about to go and tell everyone about it but kajri saw her at the last moment and pushed her down the stairs and everyone was shocked but it was too late because saraswati already signed the papers.They take Gayatri to the hospital she wakes up the docter askes Saraswati to talk in private.

Baa has forgotten everything that happened in the last few months including Suryakant's death. The docters tells Saraswati to tell everyone not to remind her of things or that can cause danger and says she should rest in her room.When they bring BAA back, Kajri throws all their stuff out and tels them to become her servant or she won't let anyone enter the house.So they all agree to be Kajri's servants. Kajri is making their lives miserable. Yuvraaj somehow accepts it.

Janvi left with Radha ji to a village in hope to make some money. She gives dance lessons to the children there. Janvi's dream shatters when a businnesman steps in, named Nikhil Singhania. He wants to build a mall on the place where she gives het dance lessons. They spend a night together when Janvi is lost and Nikhik's car is defect, Nikhil had created a little bit feeling for her, but their fight for the ground make the feelings diseapper. They challenge eacht other, but unfortnunatley Nikhil wins. Janvi is sad. but, later nikhil comes and gets feelings for janvi and let the dance school stay.

While Baa is in bed Kajri continues to treat the daughters in a harsh way. Saraswati is tired of this and wants to help her family, she trys to win Kajri and Rasili trust and eventually she does. Saraswati's sisters think that she has betrayed her family, Savitri knows that Saraswati is doing this to help win the property. Menaka also figures out Saraswati's ideas and joins hands with her. Saraswati and Menaka create differences between Rasili and Kajri. One day Saraswati tells Kajri that once Niyati's child gives birth, Yuvraaj will forget her and Naman. Kajri agrees but she still needs to make the documents. Menaka steps in and says that she has the documents already made. Kajri takes the documents without even reading them. She takes the papers to Yuvraaj and he signs them without reading. Yuvraaj and Kajri do not know that they just transferred the property on to Savitri's name. Saraswati and Menaka figure out that Kajri killed Suryakant. Saraswati and Menaka tells the other daughters that the property has come onto Savitri's name. The girls say lets kick Kajri and Rasili out, but Saraswati says that she has also killed our father and we will get revenge. Saraswati and the whole family start reminding Kajri of what she did and that she is in danger. Saraswati tells Kajri that she should visit a mandir that will help her. Then the house gets a phone call, Kajri picked the phone up, its from the police office and they say that they traced something on the ship where Kajri and Yuvraaj killed him, when Saraswati just got a man to lie. Kajri, Rasili and Yuvraaj go to the ship and try to find the proofs, and then all girls including Janvi, Savitri and Menaka come on the ship, they surround Kajri. Kajri backs up and falls off the boat and his hanging on to it, and then Yuvraaj comes and saves her and by mistake says that he also killed Suryakant. Savirti slaps him several times. Then the police come and take Kajri and Rasili away but Saraswati says take away Yuvraaj as well. Kajri, Rasili and Yuvraaj are taken away.

The family holds a prayer for the piece of Suryakant's soul, but they don't tell Baa because she doesn't know that her son dies. Baa figures out that they have gone to the mandir, Phulki trys to stop her but she doesn't listen. When Baa gets there she sees a necklace around Suryakant's picture and Savitri and Menaka wearing white clothes. She gets shocked and falls off the stairs. They take her home and the doctor checks her and says that she is fine. Then Saraswati tells her about everything that happened. Baa is in shock for a while but heals quickly. The family worry about what will happen to Naman since his parents are in jail. Niyati says she will raise Naman and love him as much as the child in her womb.

The challenge between Janvi and Nikhil has made confusions. Nikhil's manager has blocked the roads so Janvi will lose then. But Nikhil came to know about the plan of his Manager and he gives the land to Janvi. The betiyann are in a good mood and will arrange a party. The betiyann say to Janvi that se has to invite Nikhil, she invites him. At the part it rains and Nikhil invites Janvi to dance in the rain. The betiyann, Janvi and Nikhil are dancing in the rain. The betiyann go back inside the dansschool. Nikhil is proposing to Janvi. Janvi is humaliating him and she leaves. The betiyann say that it is maybe real love and the next morning she is going to talk to Nikhil and reveals the truth that she was a khotiwaali and her engagemant was fixed, but broke because of the truth. Nikhil is speechless and goes away. The next day Jhanvi talks to her sisters and says that his love for her went away after knowing her truth. Later on Nikhil comes and tells her that he is still in love with her and wants to marry her. He told her that he doesn't care about her past. He brings out a engagement ring and asks her to marry him. Jhanvi looks at him and runs away from him. Nikhil yells at her saying that he will wait all night long until she admits that she is in love with him. Later on in the night, Jhanvi goes to get some water and she sees Nikhil still standing. She remembers all those moments with him. Then suddenly it starts to rain. The sisters come and tell Jhanvi to follow her heart and go to Nikhil that she loves him. Jhanvi agrees and runs into his arms in the rain. Nikhil promises Jhanvi that he will give her all the love that she deserves. Again he asks her to marry him, this time she agrees and gives her hand to him. Nikhil then slips the ring onto her finger. Nikhil comes to the home of janvi to ask for hand in marriage but jhanvi refuses to marry him.She tells that she won't marry until Gauri is married and the family is shocked. She tells Nickhil that she will marry him only if her big sister, guari, gets married, she tells him the story of how she was about to get married.... bla bla bla... recently, niyati gave a birth to a baby girl named pratiksha. When Khitjhj goes to work the next day a man named Balwant beats him up and says the whole office is his right on time the betiyaan come. Balwant Chabbra says if you want the office back you have to play a cricket match with him. After a lot of Drama they agree and play Balwant chabra's team are in the lead then the betiyaans and then his team. The betiyaan start to struggle because there missing to much and getting hurt to much. Its up to Gauri she first gets hurt then hits the ball very high. One of Balwant Chabbra's team mate gets it but he crossed the line. The Betiyaan win you will have to find out whats next!Next balwant say they have to give him 15 crore (i think) and so then he will give the company to them.So then the betiyaan start a business of clothes and so they hire some the villgers and they all work together and make tiedied sari's.But when they hang them up to dry saraswati forgets to get rid of the pooja fire and so when they all leave the sari's get on fire.When saraswati comes back the clothes are on fire.So she starts crying.Then everyone else comes and meneka get all mad at saraswati and then her mom says don't woory we will start over and this time we will do it right.So when they are done they put the sari's in the boxes and put the in the truck.And leave (nikhil and shitaj).

Gayatri (age 95)

Gayatri Baa is Suryankant's mother, Savitri & Meneka's mother-in-law, Halki and Phulki's mother and Yuvraj's grandmother. She just stays quiet and watches the houses fights. She got injured because of Kajri and now has memory loss.(she thinks that her son,Suryakant,is alive) but now she has found out that her son is dead because when all of her family members went to a temple, she saw them praying for suryankant's shanti (peace) and she fell down the mandirs stairs. she is okay now

Suryakant (age 65)

Suryakant is the partriach of Garodia family, who has 5 daughters and 1 son. His character is similar to a guy who is an avid practicer of polygami. He married twice due to his first wife not being able to have a son due to complications after the birth of Lakshmi,the youngest daughter from his first wife, Savitri.At first Menka had been out to destroy the relationship between Suryakant and Savitri.It was then revealed that she had had a daughter for Suryakant along with Yuvraj,the son he married her for.The daughter,is named Jhanvi,formerly Jhumki when she was not known to them.he was killed by his own son Yuvraj with the assistance of Kajri and Rasili. He is rumored to be alive and not dead so that he can unmask Kajri. Later, the plot change is enacted so that he is declared dead. If the actor returns to the show later, he will be declared alive.

Hasmukh (age 52)

Halki's husband who is an honest person. Supports Suryakant and the four daughters.

Halki (age 49)

Suryakant's sister. She was pregnant. And now doesn.t appear in any scenes.

Phulki (age 48)

Suryakant's sister, who acts as a very rude bachelorette and likes to be the typical "auntie" by spreading hate with words.

Savitri (age 58)

Savritri is Suryakant's first wife and is the mother of Sarswati, Gauri, Durga, and Lakshmi. She made Jhumki/Jhanvi stay in the house as is fully responsible for Jhumki's acceptance by Suryakant also her being named Jhanvi whenever she is around strolling music plays.And is now the widow of the late Suryakant garodia. currently she wants yuvraaj to get out of jail

Menka (age 54)

Menka is very selfish as she tries to make problems between Savitri and Suryakant. But, now she cares for the family and wants Suryakant to like her again as he likes Savitri.She's helping Saraswati get back their property. She is well known as the 'evil' one. She plotted with her brother to sell her daughter to a brothel, falsely presented Yuvraj as the son, schemed with Kajri to steal the other family members inheritance, and insulted and denigrated Ghauri who sought her 'dream-job' as a travel agent.

Rasik (age 76)

Meneka's brother who killed Karen and the real father of Yuvraj. now in jail.

Kshitij (age 31)

Saraswati's first love and wanted to marry her but saraswati's parents were against her marriage. Now her second and loyal husband. He works in Suryankant's business.

Saraswati (age 29)

She is Suryakant's and Savitri's eldest daughter. Always loved Kshitij. But was forced to marry Bhavishiya because Kshitij was a hotel worker. Has a daughter with Bhavishiya. Now married to Kshitij. After knowing the plan of kajri and rasili bai, she has now joined them so that she can help her family get the property back, and she has unmasked kajri and found out that she has murdered her father.

Kiran (age 3)

Saraswati and Bhavishya 's biological daughter, Kshitij's step daughter. Kiran was playing with one of Naman's toy so Kajri slapped her.

Gauri (age 28)

Gauri is one of the four daughters of Suryakant Garodia. She is not married and lives in the house. She really gives about Janvi, they are like best friends. She is upset with the fact she isn't married. Janvi wants her to marry first, she is shocked.

Ranvir (previous Bhavishya age 32)

Durga's husband. He is not seen because he took Lakshmi's husband to Australia for an operation that was supposed to cure him. If you remember,she married a young man who was addle-brained like the Sagar-Vidya story line in Dulhan. Lakshmi was pregnant by Karan,her first husband who died. Durga has now totally forgotten Bhavishya. Tha same with Lakshmi .Hashmukh and wife and baby? You don't have to die on this show. You just have to leave the room.

Durga (age 27)

Durga is one of the daughters of Suryakant Garodia. She is married to Ranvir who is identical to Bhavishya and was mistaken as him in a part of the storyline. She currently livs with her in-law's house.

Karan (age 26)

Karan is Lakshmi's husband. Killed by Rasik. DEAD

Lakshmi (age 23)

Lakshmi is suryakant's youngest daughter. She got married to karan but he died. She has now got married to Rohan who has a brain of a 5 year olds.. He is now getting treated in Australia. Lakshmi is also pregnant with karan's baby.She has a daughter named Suhani.

Daughter of Laxmi and Karan.

Nikhil Singhania (age 26)

Stepped out on the wrong foot with his love janvi . Appears to be a very big businessman. He is trying to make a Mall at the location of Nupur Niitur Kendr, dance place where Janvi is trying to help build up for Radha Ji. He helped Jhanvi when she was lost.He is engaged to her.

Jhanvi (age 23)

She was Meneka's real daughter, but Meneka and Rasik switched kids so Rasik raised her. But, later on he sold her off to a brothel and later Jhumki became a prostitute. Suryakant named her Janvi after finding out she helped to reveal Kajri's truth. She is now a loyal daughter of the suryakant family. With Radha ji, she goes to a village where she gives dance lessons. nikhil gave her the property for the dance lessons. she is engaged with him. Nikhil came to her housed to ask for her hand, but she refuses.She tells that she won't marry until Gauri is married and the family is shocked.

Yuvraj (age 23)

Yuvraj is Suryakant's son with Menka, Pavitra's ex-husband, Niyati's husband, Rasik's real son and Gayatri's grandson. He killed his own father with the assistance of Kajri and her aide Rasili.He is now niyati's ex- husband as he brought Kajri into the house and she said that if he wants the truth about him killing his father kept a secret he must marry her.With that they got married and Niyati left the house when she came back she had divorce papers in her hand and told Yuvraj to sign them as she cannot live in the same house with him being his second wife as he had married Kajri.With a heavy heart he signed the divorce papers and both are shattered while Kajri is rejoicing over this new turn of events with Rasili.Also Niyati is expecting Yuvraj's baby. when he killed his father, kajri made a plan that if he doesn't marry kajri, she would tell the whole family that he has killed suryankant. and so, when he came back to his home, everyone was shocked that he had married kajri, and niyati was heart broken and decided to give divorce to yuvraj. Now they are separated. but in his heart he still cares for niyati. Anyway, now it comes to a climax that, when everyone is at the boat trying to unmask kajri, we found out that Yuvraj accidentally says that "I won't let you die, Kajrai, last time I couldn't save my father, and I saw him die in front of my own eyes" and now he is in jail.

Kajri (also known as Pavitra) (age 22)

Yuvraj's first wife who is constantly plotting to acquire the Garodia properties.kajri was using Naman to rule the Garodia family.Currently in jail. but out now

Naman(6 months) (Baby)

Yuvraj and Pavitra's son. It is later found out that the baby is not Yuvraj's but someone elses whom Kajri knows at the brothel. Yuvraj is unaware of this so he spends lots of money thinking it is his baby in reality. Instead, Kajri uses him as an ace card to attact Yuvraj toward her, and Yuvraj doesn't realize this until it's too late.Raised by Niyati

Niyati (age 22)

Yuvraj's second wife. Loves Yuvraj and his son Naman. Had a miscarriage because of Kajri. she likes making sacrifices. is now pregnant and divorced with yuvraj because yuvraj married kajri again. Once she found out that Yuvraj went to jail, she became so sad that she decided to take NAMAN to be the older brother of the baby in her womb. Niyati gave birth to a baby girl named pratiksha and kinda now miss yuvraj, not that much

Pratiksha Garodia (3 months)

Pratiksha is niyati's and yuvraj's daughter. she was kidnapped by Balwant Chaabra, but he said i was just playing with her for a while. Now shes back.

Rasili Bai (age 55)

Pavitra's boss/pimp. Helps Kajri create problems in the Garodia family. She raised Kajri in the brothel. she refrains from taking bath and achieves stinking look. she always touches her bun while plotting and her background music is thatha thom thai. she calls yuvraj as sarkar and kajri as meri jaan. Now she is in a conflict with Kajri. she used to way 17 stones as da diractor told her to loose weight so she did and now she is 15 stones

Mrs. Radha (age 75)

Kind lady who helped Janvi when she was homeless. Runs Nupur Nritya Kendar.

A rich business tycoon. Gauri's boss and currently hates her there is chance of them falling in love and getting married.
